The very fact you'd find science a problem says a lot of your little understanding of it. No, science does not 'lead us astray', it simply points out empirically facts about us and our universe. Science is never really the problem, it' religious people unacceptance of certain scientific facts like evolution, the big bang theory, and the fact there is no proof of the supernatural

No, I can't speak for everyone, but I saw problems with certain things I once believed in as a Christian, and it began to look more like a made up human construct than some literal truth. I don't believe in a god / goddess for reason stated above.

No one created the earth, or the universe, and while I'm humble enough to say we don't know everything there is to know about the origin of the universe, how life came to be, this doesn't mean it was a result of magic. A couple of centuries ago we didn't know how lightning works and how blood flows around the body, and people thought it is the work of a God, but now we do know. And in the future we would have a much clearer picture of the origins of the universe and the things in it.
I think you should educate yourself on the big bang theory, the RNA world hypothesis, and the theory of evolution, these are the best models currently in regards to the questions of origins, they present a lot more credible and testable hypothesis than just saying "GOD DID IT"

There really is no "reasoning together" here, we don't believe in a god, not everybody does, I would say you should probably know about this long before now, but I can't blame you ... We live in a religious society, a pseudo-religious society that take if you ask me.

In Islam you have to believe the following. Repeated myths from the Bible like Noah's ark, virgin births, angels and demons all around us, sticks turning into snakes and dead bodies coming back to life because a piece of meat was thrown at it. The sun sets in a pond and goes under the throne of God to prostrate before coming up. Most inhabitants of hell are women. It's utter nonsense like the myths of Greeks and Romans. When you make cartoons about these ridiculous stories you get killed and riots erupt across the globe. But the same people laughing at the claims of Scientology or Mormonism is fine. Ironic!
