people don't get burnt abroad because they have reliable police force, not up to 3 months ago. a 46 year old man raped a 4 year old girl to death n he was caught n handed over to the police. my brother believe u me, d man was released the same day n police claimed he ran away. next time when u catch a man in d act like that, will u take him to the police?in a country where police have failed the people many times b4 this is meant to happen

The herdsmen definitely have their reasons..just because it doesn’t align with your belief doesn’t invalidate their own reasons..it’s all about perspective..the same way people have ‘reasons’ for burning a petty thief is the same way herdsmen have reasons for killing people.

Jungle justice is a result of a failed system. The govt has failed in its sacrosanct duties of justice, fairness, adherence to rule of law and maintenance of law and order. Inasmuch as I am not an advocate of jungle justice, I daresay that Evans and co, and our numerous klepto politicians, what tangible judgement has the court delivered on their cases? The masses are frustrated. Do not compare us with the white. They are more savage than us. Savagery is part of human instinct. If the white were subjected to half of what we are passing through by their govt they would do worst. Lesson to be learnt is don't steal aas it may lead to your death

The problem with jungle Justice is sometimes innocent people get wasted, may God not let us be unfortunate. If someone mistakingly accuses someone of trying to rob him and shouts thief thief thief, people will rush and start beating the suspect without even asking any questions even if it was a mistaken identity. Before u know it the mob will be much and someone from nowhere that wasn't even there when the whole thing started will just bring Tyre and before u know it booom, an innocent person killed.

If you know how many innocent people that have been killed due to jungle justice, then you will understand.
For those that are in support of jungle justice, I pray you don't fall into wrong accusations in the street of Lagos.

Let me tell you guys a short story. One faithful day I was walking and suddenly I saw a woman pointing at me, before I could take two more steps, this woman started shouting " Na him, Na them!! Ole!!! Ole!!! Before I could say jack, all the youth in that area came out with all sorts of weapons e.g cutlass, knife, bottle, Tyre in other to carry out jungle justice.
If not for an elderly man, that calm those youth in other to interrogate me and my friend, I wonder where I would be now.

At least we were happy the police came to arrest us.

Jungle justice is bad.
Nigeria's failed justice system is equally bad.

To be honest, jungle justice has deterred so many persons from going into stealing and other criminal activities, as they have witnessed what the implications might be. To an extent, the only thing an African thief is scared of is death and not the law. I'm not in support of jungle justice but I'm saying it has in a way given some criminal minds a re-think of their actions. Jungle justice is wrong but still a bit functional...
I will only be in full support of jungle justice the day Nigerians start carrying it out on our corrupt politicians.

Do you really expect corruption systems to reform criminals? Sadly this may be the closest solution in deterring criminal behavior.

Criminal behavior should be brought into question not the behavior of victims who did nothing wrong.
