the only stupid comment you will read here is "God help us" I guessing God will go find the custom officer, arrest and put him in prison? were was God in the first place when the bloody custom officer pulled a gun?

The spokesperson for the Nigeria Customs Service, Oyo/Osun Command, Abdullahi Lagos-Abiola, said the police had written to the agency on the incident.


“But so far, I don’t know how authentic that incident is. We have contacted all our men; we don’t have such an incident. One thing again is that, officers from the headquarters or Federal Operation Unit can come in and operate without seeking the permission of the command.

“As far as our officers in Oyo/Osun Command are concerned, we don’t have such a case,” he added.

This is by far the stupidest statement i have read from a supposed spokesperson for the nigerian customs service....
So he thinks any of the men who committed such acts will foolishly own up and get jailed for murdering someone?

All of a sudden it Is now 'unknown' customs officials that killed a 70yr old man in his village.


Life has become so very cheap in this "change" era. The ease with which unarmed civilians are killed by agents of government is worrisome.

Impunity is the name. Most of these officers are so trigger happy and high on weed. They need re-certification for carrying guns. Nigeria has a big challenge!

Really sad for the man and his family. I no longer blame people who have zero sympathy for Nigerian security agencies officers when murdered by criminals cause most of them have committed all sort of vices under the cover of having the power to hold a gun.
BTW the unfortunate truth is nothing will be done to the officers for their actions, if any maybe a transfer from that location.

Only a Pro bono can bring justice to this case.

See the response of the custom's spokesman. If the youths had burnt them to death, it will be a case of assaults against the officers. I wonder why thugs are being recruited into the service.
