Does anybody here have real life (offline) connection with this guy Timileyin Ajuwon, a student of FUTA? He started working with us recently and was given some money to cover work expenses *for 2 weeks of work. After 3 days of sloppy work, he disappeared and could not be reached on phone or internet, only to reappear claiming he was sick. He was asked to provide a sick report to back his claim. Since then he has refused to do the work and has held on to our money. He refuses to answer our calls or reply our messages, in fact he ends our calls. We are trying to track him offline to recover our money. This is also an opportunity to alert the general public about his conduct, especially those doing business on the internet. His website is www.timileyinajuwon.com.ng and he has a testimonial up in the name of our founder Ahmed Hassan which was never written for him.

Was this part of the initial PRIVATE agreement you had with him: to PUBLICLY humiliate him once there's a misunderstanding?

Of course you could feel disappointed with how it turned out, but what exactly are you hoping to achieve with this approach?

There are more professional ways to resolve contractual issues.

Thanks again

We are based in Lagos and do not have his full address. On applying to join our team, he claimed he was located at Lagos. Later, he said he was located at Ibadan. This post was made so we could connect with anyone who could help us locate him.

He breached our private agreement by refusing to do the work which we provided him funds for. The professional thing to do is to file a suit against him, but he had not provided us his full address and this will be needed if we are to proceed to file suit. And the purpose of this post is to help us gather useful information to this end and to alert the public so nobody else falls victim.

Could you suggest other professional ways to resolve this sort of issue with someone who was told to return our money or proceed with the agreed work and refused to any of these?

Thank you.

Thanks for clarifying

Apart from alerting the public, I hope you also learned a few lessons from this experience.

Like you've already noted, legal counsel would be helpful

Please speak to your lawyers for appropriate guidance.

You could update the house on how it goes.

Thanks again for sharing.

Thank you. We are definitely going to speak to our lawyers, if the guy with our money refuses to settle for an amicable resolution as he has been proving all along.
