Since 2015, PDP has lost 2 more states to APC - Ondo and Ekiti. It has also lost 90% of all the national assembly seats in Rivers to APC. APGA is effectively an arm of APC as of today. APC controls 25+1 states, while PDP has 10. Even if 5 APC governors defect, APC would still have control over 21 States and their resources, while PDP would have 15. Head of tail, Buhari would win the 2019 elections with a higher margin than he did in 2015. No sane politician would jump from the known to the unknown. Saraki knows so well that he would lose out of this game if he goes ahead to dump APC or consider the gamble. He is just trying to use his leverage to secure deals that he can bank on. I do not see him leaving the APC, unless he is politically naive. He isn't so daft.

I thought Buhari and Osinbajo had a close door meeting with Saraki last week, wherein has was advised not to leave APC.

Am sure Saraki is heading to a dangerous precipice. This may mark his exit in politics. The PDP folks rallying around Saraki will land him into dungeon

Good news, he and his followers have just dug their political graveyard - APC would be better off without the unnecessary distraction; good riddance to bad rubbish.

Is that so? But saviour Buhari has been begging that 'rubbish' for forgiveness and support. Saraki must be an indispensable rubbish.

Harbinger of Fake News, like you were in the same room when Oshimole was supposedly begging them; no doubt a full subscriber of Premium Times - we know how they gather their unreliable information.

It must be terrible facing yet another prospect of 4 more miserable years of unresolved anger and hatred; seems like the fear of a Buhari comeback sends many of you hateful IPOB youths into rage against anyone that comes up with the slightest prediction of a Buhari victory.

BTW, your rejoinder was lame and lacked originality - you could have done much better. kiss

You don't understand Nigeria politics. Winning 21 States will not make him president even with the highest votes. You must win 2/3 of the States which is 24 states otherwise there will be by-election. 2019 will be interesting. We are waiting for campaigns to see what APC will present as score card may be killings in Nigeria. Let is be wise. We must vote leaders with 21st century intellect not mediocre.

More like a lack of creativity due to a paucity in functional brain cells.

Anger and pain belongs to those whose tortured lives are fixated on their irrational hatred for a president who doesn't even know or care they exist.

BTW, the correct phrase is 'knickers in a twist' no tied up in a knot and lack of 'creativity' not creative.

My dear, I understand this game and have been an active practitioner since 1999. Buhari would score 2/3rds in all the 36 States + Abuja. That has never been in doubt. What is in play is, how many states he can win majority of votes cast. He actually needs a simple majority to win the election. And i was laying out all the 25+1 States that are under the APC umbrella that he would most likely win majority. Even if he loses in 5 out of the 25+1 States, he would still win comfortably especially as the riggging elements in Rivers and Akwa Ibom have been effectively neutralized by federal might and INEC. I hope you come back to this page in 2019 and tell me "you told me so!"
