The Huawei Nova 3 is an upper mid range phone running basically the same SoC as the pricier 3-camera Huawei P20 Pro

They’re almost the same except for slight differences in:
1. Build quality

2. Camera (no Leica branding in the Nova 3, and only has 2 cameras at the back). Primary camera on the Nova has dual 24mp + 16mp while the Pro has dual 40mp + 20mp.
At the front the Nova has dual 24mp + 2mp (the latter is depth sensor for bokeh and facial mapping), while the Pro has only a single 24mp RGB camera. Both phones use Huawei’s AR camera technologies including their Qmojis.

3. Size. The Nova is .2 inches taller than the 6.1 inch pro

4. The Nova has Slightly higher pixels and resolution at 1080x2340 (409ppi) as against the P20 Pro’s 1080x2240 (408)
The nova has an IPS LCD while the Pro has an Amoled, both at same 16m colors
The Nova has a wider notch (to accommodate the 2 front cameras) and a higher screen to body ratio (84.2%) against the Pro’s 82%. The aspect ratio of the Nova is 19.5:9 while the pro is 18.7:9. This is due to the absence of a hardware button on the front of the Nova, having its fingerprint reader at the back

Other minor differences exist, but it’s noteworthy that both phones are rocking the same SoC in the Kirin 970 octacore with Mali G72 MP12 GPUs.

Also the Nova is not rated for ingress protection
