MY LIFE IS MEANINGLESS
I have seen the folly of this life, Life has kept us so busy, and made us believe there is something it can offer, it has succeeded in stealing all we have got. The poor are busy working hard believing they would get rich someday, the students are working hard for a future they can not predict, the working class are aspiring for better jobs, the unemployed move from one organisation to another looking for opportunities, the unmarried are in desperation of having matrimony, the pastors are diversifying their churches for more offering, the entertainers and artistes are racking their brains for new release, even the over spiritual are busy praying for breakthrough, a school boy is hoping to be a governor someday, the rich in their own quest and troubles.
All these are good, as the saying goes "Man must Wack". I only have one problem with all this, no one is ever satisfied, man has grown to be grossly insatiable in his quest, the higher we climb the broader view we have about life, and this impregnates our aspirations. At every point in life, we would always have what we hope and pray for, chasing one dream or the other. A student would say "can I ever graduate and start working? " and when he graduates he is faced with the responsibility of getting married and building house, with time his or her salary becomes too small to carry his broadening needs, then he starts praying for increment. No one is ever settled in life, no man can ever stop wanting and dreaming.
This is what we give our energy and strength.

My greatest challenge with all this is that, despite our struggle for a better life, no man lives more than 10 decades.
Why should I kill myself over building skyscraper when I can only occupy one room, why am I bothered over having a spar in my bedroom when there are hungry people on the street, what fulfilment will i have in driving Suzuki Vitara SUV, when millions are in dark covers of poverty. Chilling in Banana Island, Los Angeles or New York does not satiate our inner quest. Looking deep into ourselves, we will discover that there are inner peace we hardly achieve.
I have seen a life full of struggles and endeavors, where some think others to be comfortable and the assumed comforted ones struggle for happiness. How can we ever be free from the drives of life. The potency of life is critical to all and sundry, no one seems to be getting there. Maybe we have lost the real essence of life, maybe we are chasing perishables and shadows, if we have been after the substances we would have been more satiated, have we gone too far to rediscover ourselves? Can we pause and ask ourselves the real meaning of life? Hay, can you tell me if comfort is all life entails? To be comfortable and transfer riches to generations unborn? To breed children that will bear our family name when we are gone? Can you ask yourself what you are living for? We are doomed if we cannot rediscover ourselves.. Yes, if you can not provide a sincere answer for the reason behind your existence.
Now I am getting more confused, everyone wakes up to one thing everyday, from year to year life and events keeps recycling, the more we work the more we age, gradually we are getting weak. Yesterday you were young, today you have become a father, tomorrow you are very close to your grave. Is that all I have been fighting for? Ah! So quick, the whole scene would be over, breath goes back to heaven and dust back to earth. Just a few years after departure all the things we have laboured would start wearing out and fades away, gradually our memories are drained from men. Oh! Your popularity dies down and your certificate becomes invalidated, your office welcomes another staff for your job and your employer moves on, your personally established company gets a new managing director or CEO and men fight over your riches and squanders your hard earned empires.
Can someone tell me what is wrong with me? I am sure I am not insane, but I am seriously mad at this wretched life. Life can only be sweet if we can find the real meaning of it. To me, the true essence of life is living for others, it is the act of liberating humanity, spending moments touching lives and building capacities, giving hopes to the hopeless and educating human race. Doing this does not require riches, or even our height of education, we can all do that at our various capacities , do the little you can and be happy, change lives and mentor souls. Both the rich and the poor can do this. This is an indelible legacy you can leave behind when you are gone. Secondly, prepare for your eternal destination, having seen that this life is worthless and vanity. Yeah, Prepare for your eternal Home. Fear Yahweh and Keep his commandments! Live for truth and never call evil good or call good evil. May Yahweh Our Elohim help us!!!
Shalom!.....

Basil Onyekayahweh,

pls share! .
