Two Nigerian universities are out of five universities globally expunged from the webometrics ranking for attempting to manipulate the system. This Universities include: Assumption University Of Thailand University of Diyala ABUAD Kateb University It is unclear what exactly ABUAD university did. But it is not unconnected to the Punch report that reportedly placed ABUAD as the second best university in Nigeria. It is believed that ABUAD was reported to Webometrics by another Nigerian Universities for some malpractice of some sort. Although it is very unusual for a university to be expelled. I see. Covenant University or OAU must have reported them. Too many Covenant University foreign grants are predicated on her webometric ranking, therefore i see why they would be pissed at the Punch report naming ABUAD as number one private university. As a matter of rule, if you want to manipulate webometric ranking don't get yourslf into top 10 universities in Nigeria. Don't do It! Many of the federal universities there would report you.
