A fresh Cholera outbreak has prompted the police to ban public gatherings in a bid to curtail the spread of the disease.

The Zimbabwean police have banned public gatherings in the capital Harare following a cholera outbreak that has killed 21 people and left more than 3,000 people hospitalised.

This is coming in the heels of government declaration of a state of emergency on Tuesday as a result of the outbreak.

Police spokesperson Charity Charamba said Wednesday cholera had become a threat to human security and the ban would assist in curbing the spread of the disease...continue...
