How exactly is sex by two consenting adults a sin?


I mean the man is inserting and removing a part of his body into the woman's part and it's pleasurable for both without hurting a third party.


And what makes it UNSIN when both persons are married by merely visiting the marriage registrar for marriage assuming they did marriage under the Act, aka court marriage?




Note: I am neither a sex maniac nor aficionado.


Also note that under the law, two adults who are above 21 years can validly get married even without the consent of their parents.

What is more, the law nay government makes marriage valid and not the church. What the church does is act as agent of government having been licensed under the Marriage Act.

This is same reason why you go to court to dissolve marriages and not to the church.


I need answers with ratiocination.

Chaiii......Fornication is an offence against your own body. It opens you to unnegotiated covenant spiritually and brings you down to the level of a dog socially. Morally a liability to your own self cos of self control anayo conscience issues. ...... Am coming with more reasons.

My confusion is Majority of first and second child of Nigerians were born out of wedlock.


Most of Nigeria cultures especially southern Nigeria, believe and promote sex before marriage you will see a lady pack in with her husband to-be just because they were engaged and they will be having multiple rounds of sex until it result to pregnancy, it is after the lady is pregnant before you will see them tie the knot officially, some till after one or two children.

I'd give my own points as to why I think fornication could be a sin.

Trying to follow ground rules, I'd not base my points on religion or culture but on science, facts which we all, irrespective of our sentimental inclinations can understand.

As stated by OP, why should a sexual relationship between two consenting adults be referred to as a transgression of a law? There's no civil law (universal (as by the UN,) federal, state or local government) that prohibits or seeks to penalize sex between two consenting adults.

My definition of sin is anything you do that'll cause you or/and someone else harm.

If a sexual relationship between two consenting adults will cause harm, emotionally or physically; through disease transmission, deceit or any other thing that poses harm to any of both parties, then it is a sin, and obviously, there is a penalty that either (or both) of them will have to suffer.

Apart from that, if the sexual relationship will pose no harm now or in the nearest future, it's not a sin to me.

Okay, you're body is the temple of the Lord. 1 Corithians 6:15, and sex is a union of spirits (as well as a physical union). This spiritual union should only be done with God. The equation is;

Temple (Man)+ God

When you get married, you and your wife become, one body (one temple) Gen 2:24, so this makes sex accepted because you guys are have become a union, and hence the equation becomes;

Temple (Man & Woman) + God
