I used to wonder how too until someone explained that they would have given them the questions to study ahead of time. Then on the real quiz day, the same questions will be renumbered differently from how they appeared on those previously given. So, they rely on their memory rather than trying to solve them within 2 or 3 seconds. It's just a matter of recalling the answers they once arrived at while preparing. The individual with the best memory wins.

Ehen! I now understand it

I thought something wasn't right with the speed at which the kids answer those questions within seconds, I do not know of any methodology that can make them answer such in seconds.
Either it is as explained by you or they had more time alloted than the 60seconds claimed, just to package the show to appeal and challenge audiences so they collapse the time.

Ilesha no dey disappoint back to back. Salutes Olusesi...

Olusesi is a big blessing to students in Ilesa. It was a big regret for me not to have encountered the man's tutorial centre before my Utme lessons in mathematics. Such a great man, the best math teacher I have ever seen or heard of. Great he eventually set up Reality even though not a standard school but academical a glorious one.

Are you from Ilesa?

False assumption. I've been there and I'd tell u its purely talent and hardwork. Most people who make it to that stage have had tons of practice.

Cowbell Maths annual competition has proved beyond any doubt that schools located in Ota, Ogun State, are of the highest standard in Mathematics/ Sciences in Nigeria. The evidence? Students from schools in the area have been regular/recurring national champions namely: Iganmode Grammar School, Ota ( the first to win the Laurel, and it had won it at least three times); next is Ota Total Academy, Ota (more than 3 times) ; and of course the current champion The Ambassadors College, Ota (also had won it more than 3 times). These are final winners. Many of the schools get onto the final stage in one category or the other annually at least at State level. Watch out for this year's result, you'll be my witness.

Lies!!! My Niece represented Ondo State 2 years ago and I doubled as the School Nurse for Ambassadors then (Seun Osewa's parents school), so I was in the studio at Ogba where the program was held. They won't have any idea about the question, they are just seeing it for the first time. Those kids are just good and that's why they were chosen in the first place.
