I've come to discover that attacks on candidates help them to gain public sympathy within the neutrals which make up more of election voters.

Recent examples are;
Buhari, 2015. Instead of PDP to lay out their plans, they were attacking Buhari who was business selling out lies. The people had to go for someone with something even though they were lies than someone who didn't say anything.

Another example is Donald Trump. Democrats were busy attacking his personality, his health and his temperament by saying he is too irrational to have d nuclear codes but he won. Most neutral were tired of Clinton attacking Trump while Trump was busy laying out his plans of defeating ISIS and the MAGA agenda.

Another one that almost pulled off was d Osun election.
APC and their officials were busy attacking Adeleke while he was busy campaigning. We all know what happened if not for the rerun.

Lesson: Never use the strategy of character assassination on candidates because it will draw public sympathy and make neutrals to go for him by seeing u as serious.
