So finally, I have been finally called to serve my father land and specifically posted to Akwa Ibom state. Well, I don't even know anything about the place and that's why I want to make some inquiries as I like getting well prepared for anything I wanna do, in advance

So I am more than concerned about housing cost in Akwa Ibom, please, how cheap is it over there?

Secondly, I heard a rumor that Akwa Ibom pays Corp members aside the regular state allawee, how true is this?

Thirdly, how cool and conducive is Akwa Ibom generally?

Be good, committed and loyal to the camp official then you can get yourself luck to be posted to Exxon Mobil at ibeno. You would be paid 50k, free lunch and transportation. I served in akwa ibom some years back camp was neat and great experience I had. I did my PPA in exxonmobil. Houston rent then was quite affordable.

in the estate I stay houses go for as much as 300k for self contained, u would be lucky if u get for 250k, there is constant light and water food stuff or basic amenities r more expensive than any other part of UYO, transportation is moderate,,there is adequate security. Town is rowdy but conducive. its a civil service and a political state, private business hardly pay that much so affiliate yourself with the government or any political office.

Yes oooo when you're in camp surgi yourself and hook up with the camp co ordinators or your platoon head its either UYO,eket oron, Ikot Abasi, Ikot Ekpene, that you will enjoy your stay so find urself posted there.

representing from Nsit ibom Lga.... akwaibom is good.... gvt pays 5k.... they value corpers here.... just pray udom share 10k give una..... uyo is expensive... some house rent can be low as 15k for 10 months.... bro, here is good just the problem of rural like except for places Like uyo

wait 15k for 10 months for rent? abeg where is that place??. abeg I'm coming to akwa ibom for a job. I need a guest house/motel lodging for a month. at least from 1000 to 1500 per night. do you know any?

Evening , that's really not feasible , it's going to be hard except you want to stay in a village .. Akwa-ibom is generally expensive , you'd get moderate accommodation (self con ) ranging from ( 80k to 150k) upward in Uyo, In Eket 65k to 100k.

For hotels budget like 3k or luckily 2.5k upward in main cities..

Akwa-ibom was paying 10k before recession then Udom reduced it to 5k.. please for the first three months yuy might likely not be paid state allowance thereafter you'd be on Thier payroll and it was paid by cash back then.
That's if you are posted to government schools or ministries.

You shouldn't it's worth everybit of your stay... But make sure you ain't posted to a village....
Some villages will make you regret.. expectially when it's Oron side.. e.g Udunko..
