Should we just belive the jubril story?

But again, should we simply just dismiss it because of our personal belief?

No!!!!!! for both questions.

If the question of project done by the government Can be responded to with prove, then the question of Buhari's treatment in London as well as the Jubril question, should equally be responded to with prove.

No one should dispute the words of Nnamdi kanu. Apc are so desperate that no one can throw away such allegation. Nigerians should wait to see the concluding part of the story. Anything goes in Nigeria, especially with all these desperados holding the country to Ransom.

The opposite is actually true. No sensible human being should believe Nnamdi Kanu. Everything about him is lies and fraudulent.

The same way he cowardly ran away but deceived us that he was kidnapped by Nigerian army. Now he is enjoying in Israel and doesn't care about some of our members that were killed. Instead he remembered and mourned his dog. How stupid and wicked mazi is.

No one sows groundnut and reap mangoes. The current government in power got there by removing an incumbent through fake news. You all applauded their strategy using what we now know as "Lagos-Ibadan express" media houses. What did you think would happen after they were able to remove a sitting president through lies and propaganda? That others would not employ a method that proved that powerful?? Y'all should quit dreaming as the current government can do absolutely nothing about fake news, especially with the likes of Lai Mohammed as Information minister. They got there through that means, they are gonna leave there through that means. It's the law of Karma.

Do you mean fake news like Biko Haram, at that time, was in control of and had established a so-called caliphate on an area almost the size of Belgium? Or you mean the chibok girls debacle was "fake news" and no schoolgirl was kidnapped? Was the economy not crumbling under Jonathan? Was the Federal Cover meant not borrowing to furnish budgets mostly servicing overbloated recurrent expenditures?

Educate me.

Such a beautifully written article, I almost wished it would never end!

At first, I thought the Jubrin story was just one of the many things Buhari was being taunted with knowing that Nigerians have a penchant for insults but like the author writes, the sheer tenacity of the story is mind-boggling especially considering that it's also being peddled by clearly lettered people.

It's disturbing. Fake news could be disastrous. I recall that there was a time the military engaged in medical outreach in the southeast only for IPOB to announce that the government was planning to infect their kids with diseases. The allegation on its own is ludicrous but the saddest part was that majority of those who heard this ran to the schools of their children and wards to withdraw their kids and effectively sabotage a wonderful inititiative because of a news that was being spread on whatsapp. Why?! Why can't we abstain from hateful politics? There's nothing as effective in combatting ineptitude as truth.

Please, my people, truth is always a better option than dangerous, divisive lies. If you must tell lies, do endeavour to avoid those that'd make you look irredeemably daft by sane folks.

Sadly, this menace came with this administration. Hate speech, propaganda and blatant lies. Compare Dora Akunyili as information minister and this joke we have now who lies for fun and being encouraged by zombies without considerations to national image and dignity.

What insults? The truth about the mad man called Kanu, and his fellow lunatics, is now insults? Do you not see in public view the display of insanity of Kanu and IPOB that leaves no one doubt that they are mad?

Claiming to be Jews and a lost tribe of Isreal makes sense to you? Declaring that a Sudanese clone has replaced the Nigerian President is sane talk to you?
Flooding the net with different versions of fake death certificate of Buhari makes perfect sense abi?
Kanu declaring he will go to Abuja and return with the head of Buhari is the talk of a sane individual?

I think most would agree Kanu and many of his followers are insane.
Insults are signs of Weak and desperate man..

There is a law of cause and effect guiding the universe. If a President was taken to London and hidden for 90 days without any accountability to the people, they have the right to fill in the blanks with available facts. I strongly believe that the mystery that surrounded the whole ordeal and the extent to which it was shrouded in secrecy only confirms that the man in Nigeria's seat of power today is not Buhari.

Anybody can sit behind a computer and compile essays but how has the rumor been proved wrong.

When there were speculations about former president Yaradua's death, Obasanjo placed a call in public to dispel the rumor. Whether it was Yaradua who was at the other end of the line or not is irrelevant at this point.
Had the then minister for information not raised alarm there might have been a cover up.

My question is, what steps has the presidency taken to prove beyond doubt that these revelations are false?

The series of attempts so far made by their media team only raises more suspicion. We will find out in due time.

There are 4 categories of Nigerians in all of this bullshit.

Category 1: Those who think that everything about Jibrin is senseless and unimaginable and wonder how any reasonable adults could bask in such stupidity.

Category 2: Those who think that it is completely false but are using it for political gains to deliberately cast doubts on the minds of the supporters of the President.

Category 3. Those who think that it is false but were very elated when Fayose and FFK told them that Buhari was dead. This group of people is more than happy to substitute the news of Buhari's death with the news about Jibrin's existence.

Category 4. Those who actually believe the Jibrin story with all of their bodies and souls. This group comprises majorly ignorant and uneducated people.

Where do you belong?
As for me, I don't know what to believe. Lest I forget, am never a gullible person. But, honestly, if this Jubrin/Buhari story is eventually true, you won't come here to come and tell us you're sorry for where you stand or the category you fall into.

Just for you to know I don't have anything against you, I'd suggest that Buhari should do something about this story or hasn't he heard this bad story as it keeps spreading like wild fire?

When he was laced with the issue of not having O'level certificate, he did something about it. According to WAEC, he applied for a statement of result from them.

Noises were raised but everyone later took several seats because he made a move to prove something. What if Buhari and this man, Jubrin just take a good picture sitting side by side? That wouldn't be too much to send all rumour mongers back to the back. What do you think?

I don't blame illiterates that believe this nonsense, that's why they are illiterates, neither do I blame those who originated and spread the story after all that's what scammers and propagandists do.

However I have problems with anyone who went through I higher institution of learning yet can't use critical thinking ability, combined with facts and figures to conclude that this whole thing is a propoganda.

The one big negative effect it would have on those who believes this nonsense just because Kanu said it is because in due time he would lose all his credibility. But whether the so called educated people would enroll in a information literacy class, only time would tell.

You that is literate, show us what u are made of by bringing evidence that can back ur proof up. Those illiterate ones have their, where thy own. It is not by grammar rather by conviction. Eric Joyce is so literate, to be among those that insist that Buhari is dead.

The presidency has nothing to prove, it is the duty of the author of the rumour Nnamdi Kanu to provide concrete evidence like his family life, how many kids he has, addresses he had lived before, his family, friends and relatives still in Sudan for Nigerians to go confirm.
Imagine me telling you that a good friend of yours is an arm robber, this is somebody you've known from childhood and has never been associated with any crime, won't you ask him for evidence or would you just swallow it hook, line and sinker?
When Buhari said Nigerian youths are lazy, people lashed at him but it's becoming evident by the day that he was saying the truth, not many can reason or ask questions about things thrown at them.
A lot of time buhari or his team has responded to rumours like this (which I consider cool) the reason he has media team he pays heavily, they should get to work and pay for their income brother!
They don't have any other job than to do the PR job and enlighten the public in cases of misinformation through professionalism. He should stop this approach of arresting fake news providers, they are everywhere in the world, it's just that it's ridiculous here.
MW, some pictures came online recently (looks very real), where buhari was pictured having hair on his head, we all know buhari is bald (even him knows that).
The jubrin guy's picture also came on board recently who resembles buhari somehow. I personally noticed that buhari has not been that active or responsive to some critical issues recently and body tells us he is sick. He went to France recently which clashes to a very prolific world event that featured almost all the world leaders but buhari was nowhere to be found and it was proven beyond reasonable doubt b4 DEMOLA came up with one flimsy excuse that that was not his mission, that moreover Nigeria was not actively involved in ww2. Can u imagine that but the macron came to Nigeria recently and even visited fela shrine.
Well, most importantly, it will not harm if he at least defy the rumour by coming on board live to swag up some stuffs (they call it body hitting and it's allowed) . after all zahra did selfie with him when this rumour first suffice last year and it didn't harm anybody.
Think about if it happens, world will not fall o! Cos it didn't, when turai and her cohorts tried to hide fmr presidents corpse for days b4 God unveil that evil, so anything can happen, the reason his media team should work for their money.
That american movie will sensitize anybody that has watched it bro!

Buhari is a mature and dignified President tasked with leading a Country with very difficult problems. Addressing frivolous and ludicrous claim will make him look unserious by default but you would not understand this because of blind hatred of the man.

It is like expecting Buhari to strip his wife naked in public because some demented folk say she is a man. When you get in the mud with a pig then people will not be able to differentiate pig or man as both are covered with mud.

Buhari is doing the right thing refraining from getting into the mud with demented Pigs. He will only look equally insane if he begins to dignify wild and demented claims put in the public by lunatics consumed with hate.
