The New Speaker of the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Sir) Nse Effiong Ntuen, has approved the following appointments with immediate:

1. Chief of Staff: Prof. Emmanuel Sabestian Akpan

2. Chief Press Secretary: Mr. AmanamHillary Umo-Udofia

3. Chief of Protocol: Mr. Raphael Udoma

4. Special Assistant, Legislative Matters: Barr. Mfon Udeme

5. Special Assistant, Political Affairs: Hon. NsikakAbasi Johnson

6. Special Assistant, Media Affairs: Mr. Patrick Edeke

7. Special Assistant, Protocol: Comrade Unyime Essien

8. Special Assistant, Protocol: Mr. Idorenyin Abel

9. Protocol Assistant: Mr. Ubong Otung

All other appointments shall follow later.

The 'People' never learn anything from their Leaders. Because if they did, none of these 'Leaders' would be near power.
I find it very hard to understand the typical Nigerian voter. Docility or Nonchalance, Fear or Ignorance, Courage/Willingness to challenge a status quo or just sitting on the fence 'makes sense'. Nevertheless, it is obvious that a few number of electorate determine the Government of the day. Be it the Almagiris of the North to the Thugs of the South, one things is common, there has never been a leader with a mandate. No not one.

The guys have a case, a sitting member dumps the APC for PDP, the speaker recognizes him and he goes about his duties representing his constituents but same speaker declare vacant, the seat of members who dumped the PDP for APC...

Hum...five members defected to APC...the assembly went to court against that...the court sacked them...they assemblr accepted the vedict of the court... these five members came to the assembly VIOLENTLY...to remove the speaker...

What is wrong here?

Why cant APC go to court to sack Saraki the same way instead of supporting these sacked five members of war saw?

H.E udom's regime has generally been peaceful except pockets of violence in etim Ekpo and others when compared to the early days of akpabio filled with assassination, cultism and kidnappings. Even if udom hasn't performed to many expectations, the gang of those parading themselves as APC leaders/members reminds us of akpabio's early days. Yet still, I have no sympathy for both only for good, peaceful and developed akwa ibom state free from the archaic mentality of some of its indigenes.
