The time duration of first generation was from 1946-1959 year. In the first generation of Computers used vacuum tubes as the fundamental parts for main memory and circuitry for CPU (Central Processing Unit). These vacuum tubes produced very heat and take a lot of space and the installations used to fuse frequently. Therefore, they were very costly and only top companies and organization were able to afford it.
