Tinubu has a different opinion about Buhari as was detailed in the recently l(a couple years back) eaked CIA documents on Wikileaks. He is only backing him for his own political gain. Now as much as I get that because it's all fair in love and war and politics isn't much different (or is it argument for another day), however I believe this is a weak move. Whatever arrangement they have post 2023 , it is then Tinubu will truly come to know how treacherous the Northern Elite are. If Tinubu and his cohort have any balls, he should be aligning himself with the SS, SE and NC in order to establish a totally different power structure than the convenient (for the north mostly) North + SW arrangement they have. Nigeria as it is presently constituted holds zero promise, it simply has not worked and it simply will not work. If we cannot split and go our separate ways at the very least we can go back to having stronger regions and a weak centre. Awolowo for all of his greatness (depending on who you ask) made that mistake by siding with North leading into the Civil war and yes we as a country may have had our issues before then but that was a pivotal moment that could have had better outcomes should he have chosen otherwise. Tinubu and his foot soldiers are making the exact same mistake and by choosing to align themselves with the north for political gain they only intend to continue what has been with no positives being offered whatsoever. It is sad but it is true and it is only stupid people who cant tell their left from their right that go about making noise without really understanding what is going on.
