I am all for a mass movement against all these. It shouldn't remain a norm and should change. But, honestly, after the 16 years of pdp and what we have on ground so far, even I woundnt mind the 'rigging' as long as PDP doesn't control the nation's treasurer, especially Atiku Abubakar.

My brother you have spoken well....but I tell you this if only you are close to information...the stealing that have taken place in the last 4 yrs of APC rule is incredible far more than what PDP govt did...we know how much fuel and dollars was under PDP..... These things affects us negatively....who ever does bad should be looked into the eyes and told the truth.... Jonathan was told the truth and he stepped aside...why won't baba step aside ...it's not proper to rule people by force ... That's what it looks like now .. swapping the people's vote and telling them to their faces the election was free and fair...lives were lost fa...and they care less

I think you get it wrong. As many as that didn't want Burahi to return, many also wanted him. Atiku was no choice, even among them. In the southeast, and south south, many didn't want Buhari, I'm guessing majority. But many also wanted him.

In my state in Akwa Ibom, about 40% of 100% wanted him to return. The election was a reflection of people's choice. In the polling unit I visited, where elections were conducted and money were shared. (I mean PDP gave people money before the elections and also share some after the election), while PDP (Atiku) score 356, APC (Buhari) score 246.

That's was a margin of about 100 in PDP stronghold, without any enticement to these APC people. In my village, PDP and APC were head to head, despite Govt Udom spending so much money and giving many who voted in that unit.

The point is, in a PDP stronghold, many wanted Buhari without much financial enticement, compared to what pdp did. How much more in Buhari's stronghold?

Few days ago, I went online to check the result of 2011 elections state by state. It was Burahi vs Yar'adua. Both are from kastina state. But Buhari won him by more than a million votes in their state, same was in borno, and some other state like that.

Besides, days before the elections, there was a link study, which pdp denied that predicted them losing the elections. (see below). The pdp spokeman in a leaked audio tape was heard saying the numbers don't add up, they have to compaign, (a tape he acknowledged it).

It was obvious, PDP in a free, fair election was going to lose. They have the choice of rigging heavily in their stronghold, to increase the number. I believe that was where they failed, because APC controls the federal govt and security. They could stop them from rigging as they would want to.

I have included a few links below of perspectives from a Journalist, written weeks before the election. I wish you to go through it.

Atiku was going to lose the election. Whether rigged or not. Many analysts predicted it, which many ignored, because, they had created in their minds the concept that Nigerians had rejected Buhari. (actually, few had rejected him, no majority)

After creating the concept in their minds, they now projected another expectations any result that PDP doesn't win is because they had rigged. They had then set the stage to reject any result that doesn't favour them, because in their minds, 'Nigerians' didn't want Buhari.

As for Jonathan, he was rejected by many, while few wanted him. The elections too were heavily rigged. In my state, there was basically no election as ballot boxes were taken and ballot papers thumb printed. That was why the figure in Akwa Ibom was very high in 2015. They didn't use Card reader at all.

And I dare to add, without the card reader, the figures from Akwa Ibom would have been very high. Same with rivers and Borno, Kastina, Sokoto etc. Both parties rigged the election, the card reader only kept them within range.

ALSO, Buhari was not going to step aside because he was announced winner and returned elected. It not like Jonathan didn't know both parties rigged, he saw the other rigged much better than them.
