2015 And 2019 Election Violence, What Changed? by obyback: 8:11am On Mar 10, 2019 |
I have been reading reports about how 2015 election was a lot better than 2019 when it comes to violence and i say this is not true. 2019 isn't in any way an improvement and 2015 except maybe in the north, we need to get our facts right always if we want to get to the root of this mess. States like Rivers, Oyo, Lagos and Akwaibom needs to get their acts together. Below are links of reports from 2015 elections https://www.nairaland.com/2087458/2015-elections-violence-spreads 19 people killed monthly in Rivers election violence https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/183463-19-people-killed-monthly-in-rivers-election-violence.html Elections 2015: Solider, three others killed in Rivers https://m.guardian.ng/news/elections-2015-solider-three-others-killed-in-rivers/ https://m.dw.com/en/several-killed-in-nigeria-election-violence/a-18376242 58 Nigerians killed in 2015 pre-election violence https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/176802-58-nigerians-killed-2015-pre-election-violence-far-rights-commission.html Governorship Polls: 16 killed as apathy mars elections https://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/04/16-killed-as-apathy-mars-elections/ 2 Likes |
