THE PASTOR AND HIS NEMBER
One of the wise quotes which has truth written over it says “the anointing you respect you will attract”. Meaning when you fail to respect your pastor, you will fail to receive the anointing that comes with him no matter how close or how well you think you have come to know him. Members have the habit of destroying their pastors with their tongue at home, in front of their children and other family members. That is one of the reasons many children can’t wait to leave their parents Churches because their pastors has being demeaned by their parents and thereby is of no spiritual value to them.
The Minister you set out time to kill with your tongue can’t and will not add spiritual value to you. A lot of people attend churches for socialism purposes and don’t know the risks of being under a minister you do not have respect for. One of the risks is that you will struggle spiritually, financially, emotionally and even important areas of your life. Your pastor is and will always be a spiritual shield of the Church and when you are disconnected with him, you can only reach your limit and struggle with the rest. Personally I have had spiritual leaders, I respect who comes to my rescue when I am in a spiritual difficult position. And I have also received testimonies of others who said they saw me come to their rescue when they are in a dark moment. One of them was a wonderful woman whom I had the opportunity to pastor in Delta state. She and her husband was always kind to me. They most times provide food for me why I was pastoring them. One evening she called me on phone telling me she was sick and I rushed down to her. When I got their house she started narrating how she was sick and dying beside her children who was playing close to where she was lying down, but she was too powerless to tell them to go and call for help. She said why she was semi unconscious, a big snake appeared to swallow her, as the snake was about to snatch her up, I a appear beside her and stated defending her with the word of God, to a point the snake told me to allow her to answer for herself. And she said that everything I was teaching them during bible studies starting coming out of her mouth she didn’t know how she remembered them (Jesus said the Holy Spirit will teach us what we should say at the right time) that was how she was able to regain her consciousness and was able to make call for me to come and pray for her. The Lord delivered her.
Another testimony like that happened recently, a pregnant woman in our Church who was overdue for delivery said. After we cried to God on our Wednesday healing clinic; she went into labor later that day. She said during her delivery it was so hard to her. In that labor room she said she started hearing my voice loud and clear singing my favorite song, which is “Jesus the lion of Judah he had broken every yoke and given us victory again and again.” She said she started hearing me speak in tongues, when the nurse doing the delivery told her to call her pastor, she told the nurse that she can hear her pastor praying for her already, even though I wasn’t nowhere near the hospital. She delivered safely.
God has a reason to call pastors and place them in their position, if your pastor is spiritually dead you will be spiritually dead too. If you have no respect for your pastor because of his imperfection, his grace will not work for you, you will be in the church people will be coming from far to receive miracles but to you, it will be as if God no, no you.
For your own good change your attitude toward your pastor or yet change your pastor because there’s no way you are going to draw clean water from a stream you defiled with your legs.
As you do well to pursue peace with all men, may the Lord lead you beyond your limits, in Jesus name, Amen.
