Range Rover, an England auto company, was acquired by Tata, an Indian auto maker. They bought over the Range Rover company around 2009 or so but they allowed the Range Rover brand to continue using its name in all its vehicles since the name has become a phenomenon in automobile industry. Jaguar is a sister company of Range Rover (just like Honda & Acura or Toyota & Lexus) and it was also acquired together by Tata.
