With a total of 595,582 votes secured in the Plateau state governorship election, Simon Lalong, incumbent governor, has won his reelection. Lalong, who ran under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeated Jeremiah Useni, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, who secured 546,813 votes in the election. The Independent National Electoral Commissioner (INEC) had election inconclusive based on the number of cancelled votes being higher than the margin between the two leading candidates in the election. Mopolchi: I think it is acute delusion to think every Nigerian is in love with PDP. The deviousness and disregard that PDP and its sycophants demonstrated while in power for 16years of failure and infrastructural neglect and decay, is the same disregard exhibited even while in the opposition. Everything must belong to PDP, but they cannot tell us what they have done in the past or what they plan to deliver now. People will sit in Abakaliki and be wailing about PDP stolen mandate in Kafanchan.
