Nothing emotional from his letter. The school has rules and parents think since they paid they make rules hence he has to read them the riot act. If they can't cope he said they can leave. Education and good parenting is 50/50.

Did you miss the part where he called the parents undisciplined.

I bet he'd throw a fist if he manages a public university for one month.the aforementioned situations can still be contained with laid out formal principles and check and balances..he should have left the affairs of the students to the dean of students.

My bone of contention is the VC was not professional in his response ...two wrongs has never and would never make one right, the VC lacks self control and that is the main reason he got insulted, by the parents in the first instance....
All those supporting him are either jealous of parents and students of private unis, or trying to form disciplinarians..

This is someone students stoned with pure water sometimes back, the Dapo Asaju I know from Lasu is not one who lacks self control.

Very low quality of discourse. Certainly this letter is not at the level or standard expected of a Vice Chancellor. It is emotional condescending and abusive. The VC vents his frustrations instead of providing solutions. After all he was appointed to lead the university.
Can you imagine the president of Harvard or Oxford writing this ?

Can you imagine The President Of Harvard or The Vice - Chancellor Of Oxford confronted with similar challenges! The experience is frustrating and should lead to serial expulsions shortly where the parents and students refuse to change their depressing ways.
