Please can you remembered how long it took to schedule your visa after you were documentarily qualified?

Anyone pls. I have a project I'm running and I need to have a plan so it won't be in a rush when leaving the country.

Hi guys, i finally had my interview this week, everything went smoothly and successfully, my spousal visa already issued and ready for pickup at Dhl office.

Questions asked :

1. Who filed for you? My wife

2. How did you meet?

3. How many times has she visited since you got married?

4. When was the last time you saw her?

5. Has she been married before?

6. Have you been married?

7. How old are her children?

8. Do they live with her?

9. Have you travelled outside Nigeria before?

10. Let me see Tax return document .... Ohhh i dont think you have it, go get it and upload it, , and also submit it with your passport at Dhl office, by doing so i will close your case.
NB: Guys, i left the premises with smiles cos i knew my Visa iss already here, waited for my wife to wake so that she can send the correct Tax return. Perhaps, i went to dhl office to submit the tax docs and my passport that same day, in 2 days time my status started showing AP, in less than 12hrs, it shhowed Visa issued, in less than 2 hrs, i recieved email that my passport is ready for Pickup at Dhl office. That's it guys. Let God take all the glory, after a long wait and delays, the outcome was successful and cheering😊.

You can ask questions if you want, i will also give some hints with regards to pattern fquestions the COs were asking different applicants. Make sure you frontload your file with enough evidence to prove your marriage is real. Pls, mind how you tell the CO that you met your spouse via faceboook or social media, they twnd to drill the applicant with cocky questions , just be mindful on how you answer your questions, it will either make your interview short and brief or tedious and lengthy. All the best guys.

I have waited a year plus after being DQ and still waiting. I read in this group where someone who had been interviewed already said they waited for 17 months. We are all praying and hoping that they begin to work faster.

When we're you DQ'd? They've issued IL up to April 2022 as at last month

Depending on your visa category, if you're IR1-5 you should be expecting your IL by Jan/Feb 2024. They're currently on Jan 2023 DQ

How did you meet your woman ? Did you just answered it briefly that you met on Facebook or Tiktok?

How’s the best possible way to answer that question if you met her on social media without raising eyebrows ?

Secondly can your wife file from a different state who’s waiting time frame is short ? Like Texas for example while she’s in NY?

I intend on going with just 5 quality pictures
Picture at ikoyi, dinner party with friends and family , two outing pictures ,and one face Time picture with me , wifey and the kids on FaceTime . Please respond to my mention when you see it .

Please calm down and take your mind off this petition for now if you really love yourself.

Yes, some receive their NOA1 approval faster than the other, but your waiting start counting from your PRIORITY DATE. Either you receive notice in August, October or December, the date you received notice doesn't matter, its the priority date that do matter.


As for the 1 year waiting, it depends on center. Potomac and texas are average of 7months while nebraska and California have 1 year waiting average. This duration may be longer or shorter than the estimate due to several factors.


Like I advised you earlier, I will repeat again. Take off your mind from this petition for now. Engage yourself in learning one or two skills. If you have money, enroll for online studies in any American University while waiting for your approval.

The waiting is a long ride and if you continue this way, you will end up been depressed and frustrated before your wait is over.

Its cool and good as you make enquires here, no doubt.

But I'm seeing beyond that. I'm seeing someone who wishes to join his wife as soon as possible.

But unfortunately, there is nothing you can do than to wait till whenever you get the noa2 notice.

I went to an interview today I wasn’t approved today, the said I should get a co sponsor and my passport was given back to me, if I get a co sponsor please where do I summit the documents required and how long will my case be

Normally your passport is not supposed to be returned. That is not a good sign .

However, since it was returned, you would have to get a joint sponsored and submit at the DHL office at Muri Okunola, Victoria Island office.
