In Nigeria, marriage is very dynamic. It goes beyond the union between a man and a woman. Unlike the western clime where there is minimal or no third party inference in marriage, it is a different thing entirely here, especially on the part of the woman. In fact, it is believed that once a woman is married to a man, technically, she is also married to his family, given them the legal ground to poke nose into the union.
