Hi nairalanders, I've been an Afro kinda guy that keeps hairs.

But, it happened that I'd always see hairs all over my room, after combing. I thought maybe, it's because my hairs are grown and cut during combing.

I decided to be shaving my hair, I started keeping very low cuts, very close to the skin, but I still see hairs in my room and it perturbs me a lot. Well, I've hairs on my legs, hands and at the back of my palms(like, on my fingers), so I think hairs come off from there too. I don't know why it happens.

Now, the major issue is that whenever I have an haircut, my head hurts, like my scalp hurts whenever I touch it, it keeps hurting till my hair grows to some extent. I have searched Google, but I couldn't find any comprehensive detail. I'm planning on going to the hospital soon, but for now, could the doctors here kindly tell me what could be the cause to these. I'd really appreciate, thanks...

Maybe your hairs don't want to be cut. I will advise you visit a good hospital first.

I don't know, but I've been taking it lightly. I'd go to the hospital soon.

Do hairs make choices on whether or not to be cut... Sounds funny...

Nothing yet from here?

Well, I guess, I shouldn't have asked but go straight to the hospital.

I was trying to fill a void and douse my fear before heading to the hospital...

Well, what it is still remains... wink

Yeah, I'm still looking for an answer.

There's no tangible information from Google.

The haircut that brings the pain; is it what they call gorimakpa, or adonrin, or shine-shine?

I don't know what it's called. It's just a normal low-cut.

With small hairs remaining. I don't cut down to the skin.

Does the clippers press down on the skin(scalp) while barbing? After the haircut does the remnant of hair need combing or it is due for combing after days or weeks.?

After the haircut, combing is possible after like a week or more.

It doesn't press too much. It's more like mild touch.

Very good response time. Some time people come here to ask for solution and when they get it they just walk away to go and drink tombo, they don't even borther to give feed back.
As for the problem you presented though you said the pressure is not much which is relative and cannot be quantified. Talking from experience the barbers will run their clippers several times on the scalp and the ajebos will feel pain but people like us, the ajekpakos will not feel pain and may call it mild for the same amount of pressure. But the essential thing is that each time the clippers run over the scalp it sweeps away the blood from under the skin and the 'refil' is slow and incomplete. When it is incomplete the tissues under the skin will lack oxygen. Insuficient oxygen under the skin can cause pain and every other sensation you are having.
You can imagine a woman who plaits her hair (or "tie dia head"wink and it is very thight they have the same pain and the same explanation holds because there is constriction of blood flow under the scalp and oxygen deficit.
I hope this explanation is scientific and good enough for now until the gurus (google) can disprove it.

Yeah, it's quite logical. Thanks so much for the time.

To avoid the problem they can use scissors to cut the hair.

No, no, no!. Ok sorry. I forgot. I was thinking in terms of 'old school'. Commercial barbing started with scissors, then upgraded to manual clippers; now its electric clippers with so much noice and vibrations (wey fit scatter brain) and causing mild and non noticable traumatic scalp injury (for ajebos o). But just try it and see for a change. You will thank me later.

All your suggestions look interesting, but I wonder how many of you can shave their backs efficiently and make them look good. I'm one of these guys with way too much hair on that area, and my time at the pool or the beach is not as comfortable as I would like it to be. You know that people are looking at you with that much hair, making you feel awkward. However, I found a back shaver that looks greatly promising, and I will give it a try and let you know how well it went. The design seems unique and easy to use without much need from my side, as I saw in the pictures.

Shaving your back is a good idea. I had a hard time doing it with a normal shaver. I will give this one a try.
