This is the kind of thing you see when merit is thrown into the trash can for mediocrity, tribalism and nepotism. This is exactly what you get

This is the worst U20 ever paraded by Nigeria .There we're so many bribery allegations levelled against him by the foreign professionals and many exited camp long before the final list.

I remember those days when we used to love Manu Garba but after 2015, most of us stopped loving him with the way he treated our best legs.

Recently ,we saw how some players were treated by the U15 coaches.
We also saw how Manu Garba treated some players in the last U17 nations cup.
Dennerby will also fail with the Super Falcons. They will perform woefully than those who have represented us in previous world cup.

Gross bribery and corruption in our football teams by our coaches .

I don't even rate this present U20 team.
The coach no Sabi anything. I blame NFF for giving him the job.

that 2015 u20 was the worst that was the best ever naija u20 squad and garba use strong head bench all our best players

Game over folks. The Yankees got the job done...and this was no fluke..they preyed on us, plotted, waited and boom ...they hit us like thunderbolt. grin

This team is coming home...and I won't be disappointed.

I fear for our girls too, they are old and we've not groomed a lot of younger girls to take over ..dem go see something.

For the AFCON as usual we are local champs...can't say we will win now but we are more likely to have a good showing at least qtr- finals.

True true...our football is in trouble with a clown as minister of sports I don't even expect much...make I stop there before I start with their president and some of una no go like me and the matter again grin

Nigerians STILL believe that football is ONLY about talent. Football is a team's sport. A good team of average players will more often than not best a poor team of great players. The American team is a good team of average players. To make matters worse, the Nigerian team is a poor team of below-average players. If you are a coach and you know that your players are below average, in order to get ANYTHING from the tournament you have to find away to build a good team with the 'ingredients' that you have. I remember when Nigerians used to make fun of American football teams. The American football federation knew that they don't have talent so they made some changes: (1) The important talents from all over the world (Africa, Mexico, Europe etc.) and gave them green card. (2) The paid European (mainly German Bundesliga) teams to take many of the players to teach them how to play the modern game. (3) The emphasize team work as the central focus for youth development.

Now look at where America is now in terms of football and look at Nigeria. They (Americans) are TECHNICALLY way ahead almost any African team except maybe one or two North African teams. Until Nigerians start valuing THINKING (and STRATEGY) rather than BRAWN and PRAYERS, we will always lag behind countries like America who are just even learning how to play the game. KEEP fooling yourselves. The world is changing. The days of individual talent winning games are all over. TEAM INTELLIGENCE >>>>>>>>>>>>>> INDIVIDUAL TALENT. Any day, Any time.

If you watched the first match against Qatar, you will understand why we are losing this match.yoo much brawn no brains or tactics. You would know the USA team coach has scouted our team and the Nigerian team coach did not watch any tapes of the USA team.

you say my mind. the coach of USA watch and discovered all the weakness of all the players, the mancity dude was even substituted when they don't give him brethren space

you will agree with me that when they brought in the number 10 match change till we went for second half because the USA coach didn't understand the no 10 pattern but within the short time of second half resume he studied the number 10 and the caged continued

the head of those good skills player left behind for palogo players will always disgrace Nigeria football team both in and out of Africa, no be curse

I didn't comment on that thread.
Dennerby has ruined the Super Falcons,we are even struggling with African teams,we won't fare better against the well organized austere European teams.

Don't even know what he is doing with the Team.Omagbemi and some former teams would have done better than him.

We don't learn,we just keep hiring frauds.

This is what happens when you introduce quota system and bribery in football...only the southern part of Nigeria especially SE n SS performs better in underage football.

Did you really see these guys play? Even in the match they won against Qatar? Shambolic performance. Not even elated about the win. No finesse, poor coordination inability to string passes for players in Eyimba and Kano Pillars? No. Let's not deceive ourselves. This team has no future. The coach isn't the right man for the job. NFF goofed !

Yes o.
You can have the advantage at the U17 level due to age and strength.
At the u17 world cup in '07,it didn't come to bare when we played against a compact and highly tactical Spainairds in the Finals.
The likes of Rabiu Ibrahim,Chrisantus Macaulay, Ajiboye etc plAyed for us.
Toni Kroos was in midfield for Spain with De gea in goal.

Am not happy at all,see how bribery just destroy our football and after this tournament all this boys go go farm and we go just waist two years of rebuilding of our national team. Paul aigbogun is Mr destroyer. He has destroyed our under 20 the way he destroy warri wolves by sending the to relegation. Paul also make us lose some of our foreign burn talent. Tell you today those boys that left camp will be better than the so called under 20 in future

So many young foreign professionals have been treated badly by our national team coaches . Look at the way Dennerby treated our foreign born talents . Look at the way Lateef was treated by the U 15 coach and even Manu Garba.we all saw how they couldn't convert glaring chances.not forgetting that Chelsea lad and the young Bournemouth keeper that didn't see 1 minutes action
I bet those foreign pros would come out good because them get coaches and facilities 24-7.

I don't give a hoot about Nigerian football again.Look at Rohr that can't even take risk.He has no excuse not to get us the Afcon trophy
Make them no even qualify o.
dennerby will fail woefully wallahi

Watch out for Zaccala,a teenage GK with this U20 team,he would go places. They could not drop him because he has was just too good.

This team was definitely not selected based on merit.

I don't believe this is the best u20 we have in a country of over 200million people.

To worsen matters they are all over-aged, so no future for any of them. angry angry

Football talent in a country not based on population, if so China or India will be the winning every tournament
