Do you read history at all? Do you know that Claudio Ranieri is a former Chelsea Fc boss? And during his time there, Chelsea fc were not so good? Dont you think that if Claudio Ranieri had performed so well at Roma, they would have retained him? Anyway for Leicester City Fc, any good coach can still win the EPL with them using the right squad!
Oga which history r u talking about? U talk as if u have been following football for d past 50years, we know Ranieri has coached chelsea & who says he can't be reappointed? U must be indomie generation

Nice tribute. But truth be told, he made no difference cos Roma still didn't get the desire result they hoped for, that's the only reason they won't be retaining him.
u forgot how roma was sinking fast under the previous manager before he was sacked?
Ranieri did his bit.

Are you being serious? Di Francesco was sacked after losing the Derby della Capitale and Roma were occupying the fifth spot in the league. Yes they were not doing well prior to the sack cos Roma were eliminated from the champions league, but Ranieri did nothing, he met the team on 5th position and finished 6th.

they would have finished worse than 6th if they hadn't sack Francesco

As much as I will accept all other things you put forward, please don't say any manager can win the EPL with Leicester city using the right squad....Raineri did the unthinkable winning with that squad, please give it to him. Because he did it and it looked that simple doesn't mean any other manager can do such! At the time he won it, the odds were 50:1....that's unthinkable, unimaginable!

The Odds Were 1000:1
Their Chances Were Less Than A Percent.

Read between the lines bro... I said "any good coach" and I also added "with the right squad"...
what right squad could have come out of Leicester city before Ranieri made them up? I deal with facts and not fantasy. If no manager did that before, then no good manager will do it until it done bro....I was equally guilty of this when I said any good coach would win everything pep won at Barca with that kind of squad but guess what, nobody has gone even close after pep left! Maybe you don't understand what I meant by unimaginable and unthinkable...the same odd given to Leicester winning the league would have been the same as saying this current Barca squad going on relegation

Start of the season, the odds were 5000:1, not 50:1. Leicester was almost relegated the previous season.

The man really did the unthinkable.

I am not saying he didn't but he also has EPL top six to thank. I remember all six teams were having serious issues well, except Arsenal I think.
If he had done same with the current Man city, Liverpool and Tot'ham, then I'd say yes he did

I'm sorry, that is not an excuse as they all started the league together....I remember when kanu was in Portsmouth and they had crisis, it got so bad that they deducted points from them and relegated but something stood out, they beat MANU to win the FA cup. I'm an arsenal fan and yes, I believe could have won the league that year, please still give it to Leicester and Ranieri for the dedication and hard work! That's what pathed ways for the likes of Mahrez, Kante and co

Yes, all the big teams were below par that season. But, winning a 38 game season is not something that should be underestimated. That the big teams underperformed is not Leicester's business. How come none of the other good teams (-the big 6) took advantage? And only a team - purposed relegation candidates, took advantage.

I understand what you are saying, but it's not an excuse. It's just like saying Uruguay does not deserve to be called world champions, since only a few teams participated in the first world cup.

grin cheesy

I didn't say he didn't do the extraordinary, but you should also look at the fact that the top 6 were below par that season and he took advantage of it. He saw a chance and he took it. And now I'm saying if he did such when Liverpool, Man city and Chelsea were in form then that is more than extraordinary. Get?

you are still doing the same thing I'm trying to address here.....applying the word "if". Praise him for a job well done without putting "if" in it. If we are to put "if" in everything achievements people make, then nobody would be worthy of praise for a good job done....we can say "if" messi played during Maradona's time, he wont be this great, if Ronaldo is an African, he won't be this great, if Arsenal played in this era of Liverpool and Mancity, there wouldn't have been an unbeaten run. Please remove the word "if", Ranieri did a fantastic job against all odds, leave it at that!

I have read d comments here n respect should be given to raneire with no if or but attached to his Leicester success. Such fairytale comes but ones in a life time. For d guy putting if on his achievement, can u name a player in dat Leicester team u knew prior b4 dey won d league. What was making d big teams have problems, was it not because of bad results. Was Leicester d only team in d league, y did d rest teams not take advantage of d big 6 problem, y did spurs not win it. Man city is d best team in England today bcus dey used a lot of money to buy players but will u put if on guadiola records bcus of dat. Was he d 1 dat said others shouldn't buy players
