Please Do Not Fall For This Scam. by medolab90(m): 5:57pm On Jun 07, 2019
This afternoon I received a call from my so called bank agent saying my account has been stopped from making any transaction due to some error . I was like which error . He then said I have some date of birth (year of birth) error which they just noticed and have stopped me from making any transaction.

After some words he said he would help me rectify it. But I need to give him my details. He then said I should proceed to give him my ATM card details which he would use in rectifying it. I was like ATM card for what exactly, he said I shouldn't worry .

I then proceeded to give him the details he told me to call the 16 digits number, the expiry date and the Security number . At this moment I started suspecting something. All this to rectify??

While giving him all this I wronged some number on the card thinking he would notice.but he didn't noticed.

After giving him all this he then said he would get back to me after rectifying it.

But what baffles me was how He was able to get All my details correctly. Date of birth( month and day),place of residence, next of kin, home town and every other details on my account.

After some while he called back that the details I gave him wasn't correct that I should resend it. You thought I was a fool to give you my details abi??

Assuming I had given him all this that was how all my money would have been wiped away just like that .

Please learn from this.

This seems to be a trending scam now, well thank God you didn't fall for it, doing what @Nukilia said, I think it's very okay, but to blacklist the number anyway or report as a scam, shaming them won't really do anything as they don't have any iota of shame.

Or what do you think @Medolab90 ?

The truth about these scams are that
1. There are insiders in the bank that sell info to these fraudsters..when you deposit and you register your deposit..that book..them dey sell am

2. Some of the bankers could be scam too...There was a day I went to gt bank at ogba to update my phone number for alert..was told it was possible to do that via the atm...After updating the number I still culdnt get an alert only to get a scam message the day after

I totally agreed with the number 2, I once read about a Union Bank Director that was jailed for advance fee fraud and other related scam activities, so these guys that work in the bank are human just like the ones that work outside the bank, depending on the type of heart they have, they do perpetuate many evils.

Most of the bad monies that are meant to be shredded would still be mixed into ATM funds and Customers' withdrawals.
