Everything about Nigeria is faulty.
Our government, faulty.
Our economy, fault.
Our education system, faulty.
Our politics, faulty.
Our football league, faulty.
Even this report is faulty as there was no time Enugu rangers were leading in today's match.

NIGERIA, which way??

Yeah, I was referring to the freekick that Pillars scored. I was busy during the game, so I was going back and forth and missed Rangers' penalty.

There's nothing I can do about it because the first post is locked (it cannot be modified).
So why rush to post something as sensitive as this, when the information is wrong?

The main information, which is that Rabiu Ali confronted the referee and Kano Pillars fans invaded the pitch and there was violence, is not wrong (you can even see it in the videos I posted).

Your premise is wrong. The videos are a reaction to an action. If you had gotten your premise right, then perhaps, the reaction would have been different. Maybe the focus would have even been on the referee and the state of refereeing decisions in Africa.

But as you might have noticed, it is now more of a tribal issue. A reaction that was created by your wrong premise.

The match between Kano Pillars and Rangers International of Enugu ended in violence this evening at the Agege Stadium.

Rangers were leading 1-0 when the referee awarded a freekick to Kano Pillars. This led to complaints and the game was stopped for a few minutes. Kano Pillars captain, Rabiu Ali took the freekick and scored an equaliser for Pillars.

However, Rabiu Ali confronted the referee after the final whistle was blown and this led to mayhem as Kano Pillars fans invaded the field and attempted to attack the match officials.

how can someone in his right senses wake up one day and decide that he/she will go watch a Nigerian league match in the middle of spectators who will be mostly touts, and with no concrete security?

Sometimes I wonder what will make me say I want to go watch eyimba or Kano pillars play.
Some people get mind o.

The 'tribal' reactions were not caused by my post. They have unfortunately become a part of Nairaland. I can show you more than 4 football threads that have been created in the past week that bigots have turned into ethnic war zones. The bigots do not need any excuse to spew their bigotry. They will do so no matter what the thread is about. Even if it's just a Super Eagles or Super Falcons team list.

Bros the the @op didn't get the story at all. it was Kano Pillars that took the lead through a free kick which was taking by Rabiu Ali, Rangers were reduced to ten men thereafter. But Kano pillars had what looked like penalty on two occasions which the ref refused to award for the reason best known to him.
Then towards the end of the march, the same ref awarded a penalty to Rangers which was converted and level the score line.

Most of the pillars fans felt cheated and started throwing things in to the pitch , and at this time it was during the first minute of the six minutes added time , the ref had no other choice than to end the match before the completion of the six minutes added time. this was what indisciplined Rabiu Ali reacted to in a rude manner which emboldened the pillars fans to invade the pitch with sicks and stones.......
no justification for violence...same Kano pillars beat enyimba...if decision don't go a team way they take it good strides...what do u mean by the referee refused giving pillars penalty based on reasons known to him ...its the discretion of referee to officiating a match within d rules and whatever happens that's it... pillars and Ali are wrong and should be punished

While we condemn hostility of fans and players, its important to enlighten the officials to be very thorough with their job. I watched the game and saw terrible blunders from the referee. No Nigerian referee is going to afcon becos of poor decisions on the field. Kano pillars had a penalty not given and rangers had their own given. That's what led to the outburst by fans.
oga u know nothing....poor officiating is not a Nigerian thing it's worldwide..thsts why we have VAR now to assist referee...a referee has one chance to see an action and take a decision...stop this useless generalization of Nigerian referee not good enough... last world cup no English referee does it mean English referee are worse

My brother, the referee did nothing wrong. Even if you think that as a wrong call, was that enough reason two go violent? In the game between this same Kano Pillars and Ifeanyi Uba last week, a penalty was awarded to Kano Pillars, the Ifeanyi Uba players protested vehemently but continued the game, their fans did not go on rampage.

The same referee was a good man when he issued a red card to the Rangers player abi? But when he awarded that penalty to them he became a bad person.

I was at the stadium live. What the Pillars players did especially Rabiu Alli is totally wrong. They should be punished. If they can do this in Lagos, I wonder what they've been doing in Kano.

Bet9ja is a scam. But to win bet9ja, just pick games from NPFL and pick home to win or draw 1X and put 1k or 5k. Thank me later as you smile to the bank.

Reason: Away team don't win in NPFL.

I'm disappointed in Rabiu Ali. he almost beat up the referee. Fans were just throwing dangerous objects into the pitch. what a shame. Pillars should be banned from the super six tournament.

Moderator, this account is false and you put it on front page. Rangers equalised through a legitimate penalty that was hotly contested by Pillar's players. During injury time, Pillar's fans started pelting the match officials which resulted in the match been held up for close to ten minutes. At the end of the match, some Pillar's players notably Rabiu Aliu tried to man handle the center referee who had to be whisked away by security. The Pillar's fans invaded the pitch, destructing the advert boards and making their way to the VIP stands. They threw everything to could lay their hands upon into the stand.
this is the real report and not what the op posted there. I wonder why lala pushed it to front page without verifying. That's by the way sha.
Initially when it all started, the security men were even begging them especially that particular guy the screen focused on.

The bus of freedom is loading, the choice is yours. Nigeria Fulani jihadists are using Biafrans talented footballers to enriching themselves, but serve the Nigeria the zoo and come back in shame if you don't get killed.
