Osun election: is Justice Obiora a Saboteur or just Incompetent? by Shuku0kukobambi: 11:37am On Jul 05, 2019
The supreme Court finally delivered judgement in favour of Oyetola of the APC. The judgement was based, purely, on a technicality thrown up by the absence of Justice Obiora from a sitting of the election petition tribunal.

Did Justice Obiora not know how gravely important the tribunal sittings were or he deliberately stayed away to sabotage the case of Adeleke and the PDP?

Is he a betrayer or just incompetent?

The guy didn't know the legal implication of his actions and Wole Olanikpekun finally used it to nullify his entire judgement. Hear what the Supreme Court judgement said about his absence

The absence of Justice Obiora was deliberate and they knew it, that was the only way to give APC victory and was clandestinely agreed by all trial justices at the tribunal so that Oyetola would emerge victorious at the end. That was why Obiora was still the one given the mandate to write the lead judgment at the tribunal. They knew that would nullify the whole proceedings at the Supreme Court. Oyetola had a very bad case so, without technicality, it's over for him and that was what they did. Nigeria is a funny country

Which means you're supporting the notion of Justice Obiora as the Arrowhead of the sabotage?

No, I don't. He couldn't have done it alone without collaborating with his colleagues at the tribunal. All of them knew the implications. It was done because of powerful external influence. They knew Adeleke had already fulfilled the requirements of the law at first ballot and the rerun was unnecessary, it was only technicality that could help. Ask yourself why the Chairman of the tribunal still went ahead to give Obiora the mandate to write the lead judgment and the chairman ridiculously dissented in his own minority judgement he later delivered to serve as a leeway for Oyetola at the higher court.

very true here, I read your write-up and it's basically fact. you are following the sittings from day 1 from the tribunal sitting in Abuja. God bless your wisdom.

The justice Obiora messed up big time. Anyway, it is unfortunate but that is it. Kano people should watch out for this.

The rerun was unnecessary both in Osun and Kano because the winners had already emerged. So Osung case is now settled on technicality but Kano might be different. I don't think Ganduje would survive it based on the judgement of today at the Supreme Court except something funny happens again at the trial Court

Yes, Adeleke won fair and square but technicality was used at the trial. Kano should be very vigilant to avoid needless technicality. This judgment only postpone determination of substantial and constitutional matter.

I know but Sir, remember the substantive issue was not touch at all in the lead judgment. So, if you read the dissenting judgements of Justices Adamu Galinje and Kumai Akaahs, you would understand that Ganduje is as good as gone

Remember Zamfara? I said the same thing here that so far Osho Baba as APC Chairman and INEC had said something already invalidating their primaries that whenever the case gets to the Supreme Court, nothing can save them. Although Osho Baba later recounted from his initial statements because of pressure from above and said there were primaries and some positions were unopposed, did that help them? no. You need a loophole in the law to win some certain cases but when non is available and it's clear, nothing anyone can do for you

The lead judgment was solely based on technicality. Without the absence of Obiora, it would have been a unanimous decision for Adeleke because he had already fulfilled constitutional requirements and the rerun not needed

Thanks.
Apc strategists really played a fast one on Pdp by instigating Inec for the rerun ,but thats politics they try to outsmart each other and this time Apc got away with a stolen mandate

Ofcourse he was paid to be absent and that was the plan all along because using technicality route was the only way Adeleke could be robbed in broad daylight by the Judiciary ..But the question is why should a man be denied justice base on the shortcomings of another man

This is a very trivial excuse

The erosion of justice in Nigeria has started

Supreme Court is no longer the place where justice prevails

Are we saying if on the day of Judgment one of the judges fall ill then the judgment should not be read or the read judgment can not stand?

Nigeria is getting destroyed and when the Anarchy starts it will get to all man that’s for sure
