He made clear his intention to leave because he knows his time is up and he will fall out of the starting team, Arsenal only asked he see out his contract because they want him to mentor some Age grade players.. He was allowed to leave, if the club rejected the transfer he has no option, so dumping is a not close word to describe a situation that it's even financial rewarding for both parties.

The right word is your problem. He wanted to leave because he wanted to be closer to his family in France and Arsenal did him the honor by selling him to French side for £5. So how is the word dump or jilted if you and the OP are not retards

The only through dump scenario, is when Mikel obi agreed to join Manutd and later left to sign for Chelsea., that's dumping

How's Mikel to Chelsea dumping? The move didn't finalise, do you know anything about transfers at all?
After agreeing a fee with the club, you have agree personal terms with the player, agree a fee with the agent, paper rights and even image rights.
