Something does not add up, if he really is that intelligent & not cram and pass. It's easy to get a fully funded scholarship with his talents stated above.

Even if he can't get one, he should apply for local university, graduate & then choose from the numerous PG fully funded scholarships available.

You have to apply and get admission in Yale or Harvard to get there. The boy in question has not applied to any of those schools and won't be going there. If he was as good as you think, he would have gotten full scholarships there instead of a half scholarship at a backwater school like Kansas.

He should go to USA Embassy in Lagos. They hold Open Day for those wanting to studyin YSA. They have a program to help outstanding student like this. I took my son there in 2016. So he should give it a shot. They even pay for TOEFL and SAT for indigent brilliant kids.

That's the problem with Nigerians. Must he go to America before he can achieve his dreams. We don't even believe in our institutions. There're a lot of affordable universities in several other countries. All he needs to do is to make enquiries. His state government & other well meaning Nigerians could be of assistance.

Australian universities have fully funded scholarships for undergraduate studies and their accredited agents (check the schools' website) are also in nigeria. This is because one can't submit application on his own due to verification issues.

He already got an assistance: 50% scholarship. He isn't the only brilliant student out there. Others are not here begging to be sent abroad. If he wants to travel abroad for his studies, he should work for it either by applying and winning more scholarships like other brilliant chaps do or by using his skills to raise the funds.

Dont expect the public to contribute to send him abroad. That's not the problem of the public. That's something his family members should help him with.

He is very young. What stops him from applying for other numerous international scholarships out there? If he merits it, he will surely land one at least and 100%.
