I Regret Buying Nokia 3.1 Plus by Pgltm: 5:06pm On Aug 08, 2019
Bought Nokia 3.1 plus without a thorough check online like I normally do (impulse buying) only to discover it has a low storage capacity (32gb). The internal storage space is bow full, I rushed and bought a memory card only to discover memory card cannot take the place of internal storage.. Like I can't download new apps on my phone even in the presence of my 32gb sd card.. So annoying

Op you should have bought a 4gb ram phone
Re: I Regret Buying Nokia 3.1 Plus by kingxsamz(m): 5:31pm On Aug 08, 2019
It's nobody's fault but yours....
Before you buy a phone you must check every aspect of it that is of interest to you, to know whether it suits you.
Storage should have been the next thing you notice after RAM...
How can you buy a phone without checking its storage capacity? undecided u deserve a knock on the head.

How is this not an issue?

32Gig - Pre installed app that can’t be deleted takes like half of it.
And you’re left with 16Gig and no option for external Sd card.

Isn't that how it is on almost all Android phones?

Except the phone does not have SD card slot, of not, your docs should be moved there

Bros take em easy preinstalled apps plus system app will leave you with about 22gb or so but nothing less than 20gb it's an android one fone so no bloats just your everyday Google apps.

Can't do that on Nokia? Like seriously? From Android Lollipop you can't install apps to external storage, but you were able to mount your SD card as your internal storage. But from Android nougat you can't mount your SD card as internal storage.. Move all your media files to your SD card via any file manager, set your xender location to SD card, set camera save location to SD Card. Just manage your storage like that..
If you buy any resent phone with 32gb internal na still the same thing you go experience so either buy a phone with more storage capacity or learn how to manage your space with the tips I dropped.. Nokia no do you anything here..

The things the OP doesn't know, instead of him to ask questions and get clarification, he decided to condemn the product. He thinks he's the only one using Nokia 3.1. Like some pointed out, install all ya apps on phone memory, move other files to SD card.

Says who? U are complaining when u have 32gb with option of SD card. Wetin make people wey dey use 16gb iPhone with no option for SD card do? Just save all pictures and videos to SD card. Occasionally move all ur WhatsApp media and downloads to SD card. Leave the internat storage for apps only.

But this link u posted talked about not being able to mount and card as internal storage. I wouldn't advice u do that anyway unless ur SD card is a genuine and one of those really fast ones. What we are telling u to do is move ur pictures, music, videos, WhatsApp media to SD card. Use the internal storage for apps only. Very simple.

There are plenty of options bro. U can use the built in file manager or download other file managers from play store. U can use files by Google, or solid file explorer or several other file managers on the play store. It's a very simple thing to do. Any phone can do it, and I mean any phone.

You can switch the memory storage from phone memory to external memory card because it's still unused

There's a way it's done

I'm also using Nokia 5.1 plus and I have just my heavy games and apps on my internal storage (32gb too) I moved every other media file to my SD Card using ES File Explorer..

The Link you posted is exactly what I explained in my first quote it isn't a Nokia thing, rather it's an android thing where you can't make your SD card as your internal storage.

It's quite easy to move lots of stuffs to memory cards unless you bought a fake one from these roadside shops. I sell quality 32GB Samsung sd Cards for just 2, 500. You can get it personally in Lagos and Abeokuta or have it sent to you via NIPOST at a cheap rate...

Calm down it's just your misconception of things that is holding u back. Obviously there is no option shown for that... You will have to either use the filemanager that came with the phone or download a better one from playstore and manually mark everything media related in your internal memory and move it to the SD Card.

I am currently using the Nokia X5 and for me it's the best budget phone money can buy. After months of owning it people still stop me to ask what phone am using.

As for the memory capacity it's the same as yours but u don't see me complaining, I even have upto 150 apps installed on it.
I simply move things from my internal to my 64GB SD Card once it starts getting full. Although someone accidentally formatted my 64GB SD card recently.

What I see here is too much apps.Delete those apps you won't be using because on the long run it might affect the capacity of the phone.

You can move files too from the setting. Just go to storage. explore. then do the needful. No need for third party file manager
