RUGA! List Of 11 States FG Approved For Herdsmen Settlement

“The pilot states for its implementation are Sokoto, Adamawa, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Kogi, Taraba, Katsina, Plateau, Kebbi, Zamfara and Niger,” the source told Punch.

With all these offers, why hasn't FG kick-start RUGA? A lot of us don't know that Niger State alone is bigger than all Western states joint together, with the exception of Lagos. Niger State is just one state in the North, bigger than all states in the South East joint together.

The North provides over 40-50% of the food eaten in the South part of Nigeria, using irrigation system of farming. The question is simply, if they can use irrigation to farm round the year, why can't Cow owners use same system to keep the grasses green up North.

Israel doesn't have an Arable land, full of desert, they didn't had start begging for farm land from Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan or Iran. You have verse land in Sambisa, instead of flooding the space with Nigerian Soliders to comb and make it habitable for herdmen.

At first, FG told us these herdsmen are Terrorist migrants from Libya, Sudan, Niger etc... In less than six months, they started calling for settlement of these same terrorists migrants in every state of the FG, it's funny, right?

Its has not fit into the agenda.

The main reason is masked within the ruga project.

Southern Nigeria is expected to be conquered and the ruga project is a policy that is to be used to fully infiltrate the southern parts.

I want superior argument on why RUGA should be allowed in Southern Nigeria.

This is one question I have asked over and over again. They said ruga is voluntary with willing states signed up and ready to roll. Southern and some middle belt states simply made it clear and re-emphasised their 'unwillingness' to cede land for any ruga activity just to clear every doubt. It suddenly became a problem and they suspended implementation even in those that are said to have signed up and donated land so why? What is their ulterior motive?

There can be no superior argument o! All they are after is to use public funds to enrich themselves and fund private enterprises. I think sound legal practitioners should take up the government on this in court as to whether the FG is not breaching constitutional and statutory provisions by devoting and applying scarce public funds to the few rather than the majority!
