CRY OUT FOR HELP
Don’t Die in Silence

No man is self sufficient or all sufficient, only God the Almighty is. We all need the help and assistance of other people in order to get to where God has prepared for us. God has not taken any man to a height where s/he doesn’t need the help and assistance of others. Any man that consider himself to be self sufficient or all sufficient is on the path of self destruction. Such a person is dwelling in fools Paradise.

Many of us do not directly say we are self sufficient or all sufficient but our actions and attitudes portray it. A man said: all you need is in the hand of another man. To a great extent this is true. Even if what you need is not in the hand of another man, it is man that God would use as channel to deliver it you.

God is the Source but human beings are channels. The source is very important but the channels should not be neglected as well. If you have enough water in your reservoir (representing the source) and the pipe networks are bad, you cannot enjoy nor receive water supply in your house. This example illustrates the importance of channels.

Many Christians are suffering, in fact many are dead and frustrated in life not that God is not on their side but simply because they have refused to call out for help. It is not weakness to call out for help, it is great wisdom and immense strength. Wisdom is the ability to recognize and admit your limitations. Instead of calling for help many keep mute, continue to nurture the problems and challenges alone until the situation got damaged beyond repairs.

Many miss their miracles, answer to prayers, solutions to problems because they failed to ask for help. God might have prepared someone beside them as channel for Him to intervene in their situation but they miss God because they could not recognize God's channel under their noses. We need the help, support, and assistance of one another. That is how God fabricated the universe. Don’t be surprised that the person beside you may be the channel God want to use in your life. Don’t keep that problem or challenge to yourself, cry out for help!

In 2Kings 5:1-19, it was a slave girl in the house of Naaman that God used as a channel to connect Naaman to his healing. Apart from this, when Naaman was at the verge of missing his divine healing, God used his servants (2Kings 5:13) to persuade him until he did what the prophet told him to do. If not for the little maid and his servants, Naaman might have remained leprous for life.

More often than not, the help from above comes through the people around you. It was Jonathan that God used to preserve the life of David whom Saul wanted to kill. It was Jethro (Moses father in law) that gave Moses a wise counsel on how to lead and administer justice to the people of Israel . Despite that God spoke face to face with Moses and he seemed closer to God than Jethro, God didn’t give him this directive. It came through Jethro and God endorsed it.
An unnecessarily closed mouth is a closed destiny. God want us to speak out that is why He placed people around us whom He can use as channels. Never look down on anyone that s/he cannot be a channel. It was a poor widow that that God used to sustain Elijah in Zarephath. Remember, God chose the foolish things of this world to confound the wise and the weak things of this world to confound the things that are mighty.
At times you see people in terrible situations not disclosing such to anyone. If this persist the devil may eat such people for lunch and their miracle may pass them by. When God wanted to remove Joseph from the prison, it was the Chief Butler that recommended Joseph to Pharaoh (Genesis 41:9-14). Most (if not all) of God's interventions in the life of man is tied around another man being a channel for God to move. (Proverbs 12:14, 13:2)

In as much as there are charlatans and unscrupulous persons that you should not discuss your situation with, there are handful of helpful and responsible persons that you should open up to. The remedy for misuse is not disuse but right use. Not all person are bad, not all will expose, or make jest of you. Not all will complicate your challenge. Don’t die in silence when God had made a way out for you under your nose. Connect to it! You are not helpless, help is available, God is on your side. Shalom
