Why Did Muslims Lynch This Christian Woman

Because it portrays the ideology of the murderers.

because they claim its part of what they must do to go to that paradice they are dreaming of,some of them were directly imported from hell,they were getting too hard for the devil to handle so they were thrown out of hell.they are children now,what will they do when they become adults?all in the name of their religion

Christians are not suppose to live with Muslims or live in their states. Those that try it don't like them selves. I know some Muslims. But their behaviors have proven that I can't deal with them.

The so called Islamic extremists are all over the world. Deceiving them selves by claiming to be religious. What kind of a holy person will ask their people to hurt others just because of religion?

What if there is no religion? What if this is all something some one claimed that happened in history? What if there is only one God [Christian] at the end. What would Muslims do?

When Muslims say bad things about Christians or the Bible. Christians don’t go about crying, rioting, hurting people, terrorizing other people of faiths. They don’t do those devilish acts because they have one God that respect human life.

What’s your point? Are you trying to state that Muslims can do what ever they want to Christians and that Christians can just sit and watch? Think again. There are Muslims that live and do business in the Igbo land. Ask what have happened to some of those people due to what their people have done in the name of religion.

If you are a Christian and want to live with Muslims, there is nothing wrong with it. Guess what happens to you if you Mistakenly say or do something bad about their religion?

Sad as such occurences are, I would not advocate that. Religion is a sensitive issue; but that is not enough to divide the country. There are other countries where people of different faiths have lived together and continue to hold on to their national identity.

The spotlight should be switched on the elements among the leaders of religion who see it as a means to achieving their heinuos ends. The criminal silence of such leaders, and the actions of Muslim governors imposing the Islamic code on non-muslims are the bane of our society as a unique people.

There is no difference btw politics and religion in Islam. I think we should apply the very same rules to muslims that live in christian states. No muslim should read or touch the bible either, otherwise we will do the same thing they do to christians.

Perhaps, if we treat them the way they treat others, they will understand that violence is not a monopoly for any one religion.

Believe me, to apply the very same rule is to slice our own bellies! Painful as it is, I lost a dear friend in one of those Muslim riots in the north. The pain is still fresh and the month is a very painful period every year for her parents.

To be quite honest, I have felt very same angst you feel. But when I think of the far-reaching love of Christ, Himself enduring a painful death for MY sake, I beg Him to keep my heart and preserve me against feelings of retaliation. . . or the games of "tit-for-tat"!!

It may be very difficult for many even now, but believe it or not, most of my Muslim friends wept - genuinely wept - when they were shown copies of newspapers carrying the report.

It's a tough one for us; but time will come when the real perpetrators of unbridled evil will meet their waterloo!!

I'm not sure alexis was recommending that we start killing innocent muslims. Violence is not always to be extremely defined as murdering and killing. I know for a fact that at the ordinary level, it entails imposing one's religious codes on members of other religions, with threat of losing their jobs or discriminated against or harrassed should anyone run foul of that law.

Now, alexis clearly stated that people reading the Bible should be given the same "political" treatment as was suffered by Toyin in the hands of her murderers. I concede that may not be a balanced evaluation of issues affecting everyone. However, we are dealing with something far more sinister than "politics" - and this developments have got to be nipped in the bud.

I'll have to admit I didn't live in the north; although I've travelled and stayed in several northern States between short periods. It's really sad to see such ideology that beggers any form of light to be openly displayed - and does anyone still wonder why many Muslims in the North are quite dyed with such a culture??

It is not true that the index for measuring such demented behaviour has to be economic woes. There are many poor third world countries in the world - have they been going up in flames??

I am not here to please anyone. I don't support the killing of innocent people irrespective of their religion. I am against the ideology that drives high school students to kill people that does not share the same faith as them.

The problem that most of us have here is classifying and distinguishing muslims - the muslim that supports the killing and the ones that denounce it are they the same? the so call fanatics and moderates muslims. I classify all as muslims.

All I am saying is that you are to be hard with hard people and soft with soft people. Even though we loathe war, we had to fight Hitler - a lover of war. The worst a christian can do to a non-christian if you insult or defile the Bible is tell you that our God will judge you, we wouldn't kill anyone or raise dust about it. We have for many years ignorantly allowed certain people in the name of religion to have their way without any repercussion.

As fair as most of us will want to be - we have to realise that violence in Islam is spiritual and it's real. We should check it on a spiritual level by praying and on a physical level by bringing murderers to justice by whatever means we have to use.

Religious violence is the worst because the perpetrators feel justified.

How else can you explain killing a defenseless woman. A woman. In cold blood. No matter how much you hate her, what about her children, born and unborn? Even if you feel prejudice towards women, you can never justify killing her. What threat does she pose? Who does she endanger? Unless you feel she has demonic powers, which brings us full circle to the issue of *RELIGIOUS* violence.

A friend of mine served in the north and this exact scenario almost played out. He actually took a book from a girl in the class and threw it out the window- a romance novel, but the girl easily spun the story until it transformed into a Quran.

A late morning and a tip-off were what saved him from an angry mob that was threatening to lynch school authorities unless they handed him over. He escaped safely to Lagos and the ZI had to practucally beg him to return. Even then he still lost serveral months, and I don't blame him. The principal of the school, by all accounts, was so terrified that had he been there he would have surely been handed over without resistance.

Reading about this woman I thought about my friend, that could easily have been him.

However, the way this article is written it can only stir up more hate. The crazed mob is always referred to as 'the Muslims' (read the article again. It is almost deliberate) and the people who risked life and limb, unlike the cowardly principal at my friends' school, to save the woman, were never referred to as 'the Muslims' even though one of them was the patron of the Muslims Students Society!

People, anyone who instigates religious violence, whether he is Osama or your friendly neighborhood mallam would like nothing more than to see the opposition rise up and take arms. Nothing short of full scale war will satisfy them. They hate the moderate members of their fate even more than they do the 'Infidels', because they see them as hypocrites and any Muslim will tell you that the penalty for Apostacy is Death. As a christian or a jew you have the right to life with tax payment, dhinni status, whatever it is they want to add, but as a 'hypocrite muslim' you are condemned to Death, and it shall be said that you are headed straight to Hell.

During the Sharia riots, many Muslim families were killed for harboring christian friends.

In summary:  Let no-one be blinded by these acts of violence. Let us call for the heads of the perpetrators and avoid playing into their hands by channeling our hate against what may be a large number of people that we interact with everyday.

PS (Before someone directs some comments or whatever at me, If you want to know my personal take on religion, hunt down the book 'the selfish gene by Robert Dawkins' and read it cover to cover. My thoughts on it are buried somewhere within. Of course my personal opinion is irrelevant when we are looking at the facts.)

In the growing disaffection towards the political ideology behind Islam, let us remember to keep our heads. There are a lot of other religions that have ideologies far more sinister than what have come to light about Islam; and we should not condemn ALL Muslims simply because of the irrationality of the Jihadists!

There are Muslims who choose life and hate death; whose outlook on life is far more intelligent than most of us know about; whose honesty humbles most of us and leave us wondering if they are Muslims!

This is not to sound "politically correct"! But two wrongs do not make any right! That a Muslim slew a friend of mine in the north should not make me lose my reason and massacre another Muslim neighbour in the south who has done me no wrong!

I dont know what Islam says about love and forgiveness,but I do know that ,that is the core teaching of christianity because christ died for us when we are yet a sinner,so for christians to take arms against muslim might be a very bitter pill to swallow,not many christian can do it .
I think that is why the bible say we fight against not flesh and blood but principalities of darkness.Like someone said earlier i think its a spiritual battle.

Children of God are too valuable a specie to be sacrificed at the alter of allah. We should pray for our muslims friends for the Holy Spirit to arrest them and touch their hearts, on the other hand we shouldn't pray when they bring out knives and cutlasses, we should bring out M16s and M203s.

Don't get me wrong at all - majority of muslims wouldn't go about killing people - for such muslims, we deal with them the very same way they deal with us. For others that believe in jihad, let us send them to their heaven speedily.

Most of you don't realize that Islam is militant in nature, islam can't be practice in it's totality except their is complete submission and coersion. That is why you hear of the Islamic republic of this and islamic republic of that - in these countries, they don't allow other religions there. Perhaps when we start having the christian republic of this and that then they will know how it is. Open your eyes people and stop playing politics with religion.

If I travel long hours on the bus with a White person, I can sleep. If I travel with a Muslim, I will be up all day all night. That’s not a good thing. Most Muslims have created a bad image for themselves and their religion based on all the Devilish acts they have done and continue to do every day against people of other faith.

Toyin was not killed collectively by muslims or sanctioned to die by islam so you guys should stop making fools of yourselves by overflogging this issue with sensational posts. Some irate youth killed the innocent woman and we muslims in unisom condemned her killing and called on gombe state government to prosecute whoever is involved.

Next time i hear muslims killing toyin i shall re-assess the real motive behind this forum generally. Right now there is gross injustice against muslims here. It wasnt suppose to be so. we came here to reason intellectually in contrast with some folks out there.
