Nigerians are leaving South Africa in droves following the rising spate of Xenophobic attacks in the Country .

Air Peace had previously promised a free-airlift for Nigerians resident in South Africa who wish to return to Nigeria.

Many South Africans on Social media have mocked Air Peace , saying that Air Peace will return to Nigeria empty because of the alleged Worse state of Nigeria.



However, in a surprising development, Several buses loaded with disgruntled Nigerians , could be seen driving down to the airport where they will be conveyed on a one-way trip back to Nigeria.

Analysts have asked, what this development portends for the relationship between Nigeria and South Africa ?

No, they make them pay ridiculous amounts, in US dollars! That's not supposed to be the case for West African countries. But guess Ghana's having a field day which is fast coming to an end. Sierra Leonians, Ghanaians, Cameroonians, Togolese and Benenese are in our country studying at ridiculously low fees. Our borders are porous fueling mass immigration andd quick dilapidation of our resources because we don't respect our own sovereignty.

Thank God countries like Ghana and SA are teaching us the hard way.

If you can't secure your borders, that's your problem; don't expect Ghana to have a loose border because Nigeria can't be bothered to keep a record of who comes into the country.

Nigerians studying in Ghana are international students and pay international rates. All ECOWAS membership affords you is a Visa on arrival, that's all. Ghana's government have planned their expenditure per head at the start of the year, and that doesn't include anyone from outside Ghana. You are responsible for your education at the full cost (or even at a profit to Ghana). The ghanaians are running a country not an NGO, and I've no idea where we've picked up this sense of entitlement from!

If Ghanaians and Togolese are studying for free in Nigeria, that's our problem. We should wake up and take control of our borders, not expect other countries to degenerate to our lazy ways of doing things.
