Congratulations Kenny, we are now official students of great ife. It is not easy, thanks to almighty God. I'm looking forward to resuming, i'm tired of staying at home 247 staring at the ceiling. I can't believe i'm going to be a matriculant soon! I just hope that they finish this session by dec 4 as speculated. I don't want ASUU to strike again.

I heard registration would begin when we resume, i.e registration would be held concurrently with lectures, and we are resuming january. But my problem now is the documents that would be required during registration so that i can start preparing them. The earlier the better!

@Kunlexist, u'll have 2 be calm coz oau is still acceptn d form so, u'll av 2 wait 2 d end of the month. @tunsbobo and the rest, resumption is on sunday, 16th January, 2011

@Tunsbobo, there'll be 2 weeks 4 reg b4 lectures but most pple won't finish their reg in 2 weeks till lectures begin. Most things u'll need aside ur credentials and jamb results will be done after resumption like payment of fees, obtaining couse forms etc.

Sorry, the question was not reffered to me,but i think i can give an answer to that. If the date is anything to go by, then freshers will use the first week of it for orientation into university system. They will also start their registration process. Requirements are not far-fetched though they differ from faculty to faculty. At least in my faculty (science) they never asked for identification letter from local govt though u have to obtain one in case. U may be allowed to continue ur registration for as far as feb 20. The only problem u may encounter is eportal registration and printing. They do change their server to intranet during the day to allow only the admission officers, access to the eportal without an attendant overloading of the server assuming internet is allowed to subsist. U may only be able to do ur online reg at night when they have reverted to internet form. Lectures starts only when the stalites(part 2,3 4 5) are back on campus, which is often a week after fresher's resumption.

Let me say at this time that i have taken time to move around the whole faculty and dept.on campus without seeing any admission list whatsoever, pasted anywhere thereto. I need the peddlers of this rumour to name the dept and/or faculty affected herein, and where i will find them,assuming it is true.

Talking about the admission list, my friend who is a student of the school told me he is not aware of any admission list being pasted anywhere on campus, but i believe Gakin has access to the admission list since he is close to a admission officer; that is why we are all asking him to check our names for us. @Okaroabire; u are a doubting Thomas, anywayz, nufin do you.

Tunsbobo, stalites(non-freshers) will resume a week after the freshers have resumed. They will not be on campus when ur orientation programme will run. Only when they (stalites) have resumed that academic work will kick-off.
