The only place have enjoyed their supply is in Owo, Ondo state
And I guess that's because the current ondo state governor used is office to command that.

See, I don't believe these DISCOs can do better. I expect government to be working on how to take back the power sector from the private investors for better management. By the way, prepaid meters should be made available as well to ensure efficiency and productivity.

When it was under government management, the old NEPA was no better.

The issue with power in Nigeria is that everyone thinks it must be free of charge. It can't.

Very good talk but sir action speaks louder than voice again, some areas like my area are paying for darkness instead of paying for the light they gave us light only 6hours a day and they give us bills from 10,000 naira up.

Get gịnị? It's all just talks and nothing is going to happen. Obj/atiku made a terrible error during the privatization of the power sector. It happened that at the time, Major stakeholders in the generator importation business like the Mikano and Co have stakes in the power sector, now how do you expect a generator importer to fix power and ruine his business.

Secondly, in Nigeria, home users consume more petroleum products than car owners. Every family has a generator for electricity but not every drive cars, so if power is fixed, only car owners will purchase gasoline which will make the demand within Nigeria reduced.

Corrupt business men are running a cartel and feeding off our foolishness, we continue to enable them by not fighting back. Its absurd that our neighboring African countries have steady power supply but we that supply them resources for generating steady power don't enjoy it.

Every thing u wrote are totally not on fact...just sentiments. .

The fact is APC govt. Feels the sector is very lucrative..and want their men to also buy into the sector..gence they created inefficency as a slogan to take away from private own firms from them and make sure their croonies get share too especially tinubu has been after it

Dey should publish an independent research as to why power has not been stable....you would realise its not the DISCO's and GENCO's fault.. they just want to satisfy tinubu at all cost

Not all families. I have seen families that couldn't afford generators or moving vehicles

Talk is cheap oga. Action speaks louder than voice.
When at 59 Nigeria is still talking abt steady electricity, good roads, schools as campaign promises. Who do we even offend in Africa? Gbaja no be today we dey hear wetin u talk yet nothing changed. Even Police IG will tell u bail is free but try get into police's net, it's then they will tell you that their writing materials were locally sorted by the station hence u av to pay for pen and paper used in writing the statement.
My brother so they said in the media Bail is free in Police station bail is from 15000 according to your offence

Well it simple and short:

ESTIMATED BILLS IS THE BIGGEST SABOTEUR OF IMPROVED POWER SUPPLY

It encourages discos to reject supply from gencos under various premeditated excuses, while they maximize profits by increased estimated bills.
Re: Electricity: Nigerians Must Get What They Pay For – Gbajabiamila by joyfullyjoyous(f): 7:52am On Sep 19, 2019
The issue of estimated billing should be resolved fast and I want to state that majority of consumers owing huge amount of money are placed on estimated billing. I see this as a case of OBT( obtaining by trick).
When the prepaid meters are finally circulated discos may have to write off bills they created which made consumers debtors.
These are wars lawyers should help consumers fight. I rest my case.

Only one reasonable person spotted so far.. !

The idiots online are falling for the gimmick of DISCO inefficiency....

It is simply a ploy to change guard of DISCO owners....tinubu is desperate to buy into the power sector

How many poor homes will be able squeeze out such an amount for only a meter. It still would be the best for those who can afford anyways.
