Dear Nairalanders,
I wish to use this medium to address the on-goings in the "Employment Business". Many of us here have been victims of phony employment agencies who charge fees, whether outrightly or by a percentage of monthly salaries if indeed the job is secured. It is morally and ethically wrong for employment agencies to charge any fees from job seekers. The fact that there are no jobs available have given these scavengers the opportunity to prey on the desperation of job seekers.I for one have been a victim of Estherbt and a group called Consulting Capable at Abuja. A friend of mine told me she suffered a similar fate at a consultancy outfit at Cele B/Stop. I'm sure one or two persons must have undergone this same harrowing experience!
We don't all have to suffer this same fate before we begin to be proactive.

My Submission: We can form a sort of association, NAUN (NAtional Association of Unemployed Nigerians), AAN(Applicants Association of Nigeria )  etc {open to suggestions}.We can get someone [Maybe Seun Osewa] who can create an E-Pad, the type that people send around and sign by typing their initials with columns for Name,E-mail Address, Phone numbers etc. With this we can write officially to NDE(Nigerian Directorate of Enployment) EFCC, National Assembly and relevant bodies to promulgate a law banning charging fees from applicants by these Agencies. All Recruitment Agencies that remains after that would be sure to be doing the business for real. Please, lets stop Hitler before he gets out of hand!!!
