This week does not have too much changes from last week; it is still Eminem and Lil Wayne sitting at the top of the charts. I Am Not A Human Being by wayne did 45,000 copies this week, bringing the total to 411,000 copies sold. Two more weeks, and it would have gone gold, but the funny thing is that everybody i know that has heard the album does not like it. Hmm!!! I guess i have to listen to it before i make my judgment.


Eminem's Recovery album is gearing closer and closer to the 3 million mark in sales. His 5th studio album sold 38,000 copies this week, bringing the over-all total to 2,936,000 copies. I think in two weeks it would have gone triple platinum.

Rick Ross, the number one gangster rapper in the states is also doing good with his latest album, His 4th album since his debut in 2006. Teflon Don did 10,000 copies this week, and its total sales is at 463,000 copies. It might seem low, but believe it or not, he is the third highest selling rapper for the year 2010 so far; so i think that alone is an achievement.

Wacka Flocka Flame's Fokavelli album sold 9,100 copies this week, bringing the total to 86,000 copies sold. Pitbull's new album, Armando did 7,200 copies in its first week in stores. His style is not completely rap, but the few lines when he is actually rapping, he comes correct. Ice Cube's I Am The West album still isn't doing so good. It sold 2,600 copies this week, bringing the total to a 44,000 mark.


I can't wait for more rap albums on the chart, but i guess the rest of the rappers out there are scared to drop.

With all d hate he is getting on the internet from bloggers based on the 'correctional officer' story, i think the numbers from teflon don is a success.
Personally, i think DEEPER THAN RAP is a better album, and it did just 400k, and this album has surpassed that, so, just give it to dude.

With The Way Nicki's sucess is comin with her three singles on the Hot 100 chart,"Your Love","Check It Out[with will.i.am]" and "Right Thru Me", all havin massive success, her album coming out on the 22nd of this month is certainly cruisin towards massive sales and a number 1 spot on its opening week.

Kanye West Vs Nicki Minaj. Both Artistes release thier albums consecutively.
Its "Dark Twisted Fantasy" against "Pink Friday"(November 22nd and 23rd).
The question is who's gonna sell more the first week,or who's gonna debut at numero uno;cos definately,number one for that week is gonna be from one of these two acts.

It's not poppy enough to do a Drake, neither is it Rap enough to do a BPIII.

it satisfies most hip-hop fans. excellent production, nice hooks and good-to-very good rapping. and we all know big names over nice production is always likely to sell well. and after G.O.O.D. fridays?
it is very poppy, with enough sick rhyming to still be very hip-hop as well.

There's only one full 32 on any of the tracks . . . and it's almost like 808's and Heartbreaks with raps here and there.
Don't get me wrong, I rate it 9-10/10, but I don't know about y'all 'take it back to the streets' people.

And it's not poppy at all, those piano solos and creative stunts make pop music look childish.
I listened to a version with almost half the words bleeped out, but the instrument solos and beats were just next level. Kanye is a rock star that just happens to know how to rap.

Hehehe . . . So you think Venus Vs Mars, On To The Next One and Reminder are not hiphop enough??
