The NIPOST LAFIAJI BRANCH JUST DEMANDED 29000 FROM MY SISTER.
These are the contents of my package sent from Connecticut, USA.
Family pictures,
Phone for my old age mum,
Medication for my old age mum,
And wrists watch for my sister.
They held this package for about 3 weeks already before my sister went there and they are requesting 29000 naira.
These items doesn't cost as much as the cash the Post Office are requesting to get the package.
This is 2010. We have to do something. I refuse to pay the money at this time.
I have been calling the Lagos state governor office number and all the number that I can lay my hand on.
     This is a menace to Nigerian community. We need to do something.
If Nigerian citizens send a package to the USA, our post office here will bring the package home Free of charge because it’s a general agreement among trade countries.
It’s called free trade for those idiots uneducated NIPOST employees.

I am tired of Nigeria. Some minutes ago I saw a brand new Hilux pick up truck that Oyo State Government just bought for the Nigreia Police and i thought that its very bad for the Federal Government not to be able to provide logistics for Its agency that deals with the security in the nation. Every year State Governments spend billions of Local Government funds to buy vehicles for the police. All Federal Government Agencies had failed extremely. A friend of mine in London sent me a mobile phone last year I could not get it in post office here in Ibadan, so I decided to be using post office in Ife town cause Ibadan is characterised by Yahoo Yahoo so they usually impound stuffs from abroad due to this menace. I got a stuff from a friend in Slovakia, my friend also sent me 3 bags, but this time they said it is parcel, i tracked the package online it said it arrived in Nigeria, i went to post office I was told, not yet arrived, that maybe its in Lagos, I checked severally it never arrived so, I stopped going there since.
Please kindly do all your best to stop this menace, we are not all yahoo yahoo guys so, they should let us enjoy this service effectively. I sent email to the customer service, they did not reply.

Don't use NIPOST, use other courier services like DHL, FEDEX or even the smaller but effective ones. Tell anyone sending stuff to you from abroad to use a good courier service, those abroad know which one is effective in their country of residence.

DHL is not also reliable. I sent a package from Nigeria at their Isolo Headquarters, and after some days I was told my package that has a weight of n 2.6kg was missing? now refund is taking much time. But I will recommend fedex. And a thumb down for the NIPOST, it is not just reliable sis.

ma'am that i think is just a scam. I buy lodz of stuffs from the us and 2ru Nipost. It all depends on d content. Atimes u dont gt to pay anyfin eventhou d loadz is so many. But wen u buy stuffs in commercial quantity u hv to pay loadz and i guess u more on electonices as well. But i think d amount u are told to pay is a scam compared to the content. To get a remedy might be hard, so all i can advise u is to talk to one of their top officials if da could help.

Nipost is a shame, I think we should all boycott Nipost, then maybe they will get to think about their unpleasant services.
I stopped using them myself, I sent stuff for my people back for personal use, it always get to Nigeria successfully, but when it reaches
Nipost hand it becomes problem and headache to receive the package.

Nigerians believed prayer will do it, I guess maybe that dream will come true by the year 4000.

same here, my transcript never arrived. i probably ended up attending a nigerian private uni because of NIPOST.
