THE OYOs, EYIN Da ??

Since the reign of Ooni Sijuwade , the Ile-Ife throne supremacy agenda had embarked on systemic distortion of Yoruba history with a primary aim of miseducating the incoming generation of Yorubas.

In the past forty years, they have influenced the change of school curriculum to eradicate the use of existing standard Yoruba and History text books which put Yoruba history and culture in the right perspective and replaced them with modern text books.
They also induced the press to feature falsehood that were targeted at demeaning the throne created by Oranmiyan the biological son of Oduduwa.

They went further to distort facts and proofs in the colonial archives which were the earliest written facts of history on the hierarchy of Obas in Yorubaland.
They influenced the military and civilian regimes to usurp leadership position among Yoruba Obas.

In modern day they went on Internet via Wikipedia and other social media platform to propagate falsehood and discredit authentic Yoruba royal throne.
There is also a video in circulation and on YouTube which contains a lot of historical fallacies, distortions and manipulations to Yoruba history.
Severally the last two monarchs of Ile-Ife have been giving versions of Oranmiyan's story which were at variance to any known author or researcher just to demean Oranmiyan throne and status.
Lately when Ooni Ogunwusi listed Oranmiyan as the first Odole of Ife I realized how desperate they are to even deny Oranmiyan as a great Warrior and ruler.

The sad part of this is they are just feeding the younger generation with lies and the youths are fast imbibing the lies.
When we argued we are the true Yorubas with facts and proof, they carefully denied being Yorubas by citing some lame excuses forgetting that as Yorubas we have recorded great feats in socio-cultural development, in education, politics, sport, commerce, international Relations, industrial development etc etc. They never saw anything bad in the name "Yoruba" for the past 500years until few days ago.

But because they have nothing to counter the claim of the Oyos being the real Yorubas they quickly issued a "Disclaimer" through FFK.
I hope one day opinion leaders will muster strength to organize an International standard "Yoruba Summit" which shall address the discrepancies, distortions and facts in the History of our origin.

To the Oyos, you don't just sit back and be flaunting your historical prominence locally while other sub ethnic Yorubas are so versed in your own history and they are going to the google and Wikipedia daily to update their history and spread lies to discredit your version of history.
The reading culture is dead among the younger generation, the books we referenced to buttress our claims are no more in circulation coupled with the fact that we don't embrace reading culture and we don't have standard public library.
We need to update ourselves on history and culture to be able to engage outsiders brilliantly in the debate on Yoruba history.

Such a long write up, yet nothing meaningful to deduce. Kindly provide details of the alleged distortions and state your own side of history so we can compare and logically make deductions.

This long epistle looks like the book of lamentations to me.
