It is not Sugabelly that is the first person to see that.

Many Nigerians knows that too well before now.

Pete Edochie like selecting a similar role that puts him in that superiority positions in most of his Nollywood movies.

Great actors are mostly known to change role.

Maybe Pete Edochie feel comfortable with that.

Lol. Pete Edochie is a good actor. He has play many different roles and, for many part, maintained the stuff we know him for. He doesn't quote proverbs all time neither does he play similar roles all the time. Even if he did, it wouldn't make him a bad actor anymore than it would make Jackie Chan and Jet Li bad actors. Jackie Chan and Jet Li are known for playing the roles of kung-fu/action fighters. The same goes to Steven Segal and Jean Claude VanDamme. Are all these bad actors?

Before anyone futures Pete Edochie in his/her movie s/he knows he is the best fit in that particular role....

The sugar lady may have gone overboard with her opinion about the actor, but she's essentially right.

While Edochie has a good screen presence, he's not versatile.

I don't blame him for that though. His physique, his age along with the fact that Nollywood producers are one-track minded.
What kind of role would you have wanted him to act to be as versatile as you want? Mention one!

Once you're good at acting a particular role, they'll always want to cast you for that role.

A professional actor should be able to interpret all scripts given to them.

what of the Hollywood that is highly predictable?
Since I was a kid, Hollywood have been about actor and boss stuffs.
It has always been about wars and horror imaginations.
Now they have included pornography as in Rome, Spartacus and game of thrones.
In Hollywood all the actors are very predictable.
When I see Schwarzenegger,I knew what to expect
When I see Silvester Stallone,I knew what to expect.
Anyway when an idiot leaves the shores of Nigeria he or she loses sense

I also think he is a bad actor. Can he change from that role? Can he use another accent? Is that the only tone he can speak with? these questions have been in mind all these while until i saw the LION HEART movie where he had a different role but his manner of speaking and monotonous tone was still the same in a modern movie that screamed out for something MORE. That was where i made up my mind that truly he is a bad actor . Nigerians we are just a people who appreciate repeated mediocrity when we love the beginning which we dont realise was also mediocre
