Nairalanders,

For over a decade, the people of Delta State, Nigeria have not been given
the chance in deciding who governs them. The result of this is evident in
the total disregard for the people of the state and their needs.

The region is vast in petroleum resources. Unfortunately, the effects of
being an oil rich region have never been felt by Deltans.

The 'Save Delta State' movement aims to change this tide and make governance
of Deltans a major priority for the youths.' Save Delta State' hopes to
bring to the forefront, issues on the minds of every day Deltans and
advocate for total involvement of Deltans on who governs them.

By the use of social media, such as Facebook, Twitter and blogging, 'Save
Delta State' hopes to push its message locally and globally through the world
wide web.

Adagz,

Thanks for your feedback. My state and perhaps most of the country is consumed by the effects of bad leadership.
Delta State, particularly at this point in time, has an opportunity to change the tide. It is not an easy road, but WE must start from somewhere, even if it's just baby steps.

Thanks again!

Echala,

Well done my brother. I will join this worthy cause, and I hope a lot of my Deltan brothers and sister would cease this opportunity to move our state forward.

We have had good faith and the blessings of the lord on our side. the trial of an ex-convict governor, the jailing of his greedy wife and the depose and subsequent disgrace of the short ugly thief.

We dont have excuses anymore, time to move our state forward.

Poster

You will have a much greater impact if you can become a sucide bomber and take out the ex gov and the house of assembly. how many deltans i mean the market woman and okada rider in warri have access to twitter - what a joke

@Blacksta,

The poster is only trying to get people fired up about being part of a possible change. There is nothing worng about that, infact it is commendable. We are very good at sitting and looking and doing absolutely nothing. That is why the president can back a deposed corrupt governor and no one says anything.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with this post
