OAYC is a youth driven movement focusing on establishing a communal link between youths across Africa and of African descent, in order to create a sustainable future for the continent, by deliberating and solving issues on development. OAYC aims to embody leadership, mentoring, capacity building and networking among young individuals in Africa. It shall serve as an annual umbrella for all youth groups across the continent with active participation from governments and the private sector.

• To tackle Africa’s most pressing challenges, one community at a time.
• To give a voice to the hopeless and raise the voice of the weary.
• To help support governments in policy making with a focus on African youths, thereby strengthening the African Union Agenda 2063.
• To embark on collaborative projects that impacts Education, Energy, Entrepreneurship, Health, Technology, Governance, and Peace and Security.
• To initiate conversations that are pertinent to the continent and advocate for massive youth inclusion.
• To employ grassroots mobilization for societal development and social justice.

Key Indicators

Target Group, Number of Participants, and Location

OAYC principally targets all youths across the continent and seeks to accommodate 1000 plus youths annually, with at least 20 participants from 54 African countries. We aim to partner with specific stakeholders of governments, private sector and civil society in order to mobilize and sponsor/subsidize logistics for every participants. OAYC debut shall be held in Accra Ghana, while subsequent events shall be done across the continent.

Nationality of any African Country
Youth/student leaders,entrepreneurs, graduates,or international development enthusiasts.
