You're right, that "death" is the worst thing to happen to mankind, but not what you mean by death, for there is a worse death than that, and it is the loss of one's eternal life.

That is the worst that could ever happen to any man, and that death happened to man in the beginning when he disobeyed the Word of God.

In that case it wasn't men crying for man but God crying for man, because by that death all the good work that God had done in the beginning just went down the drain, as upon man rested the hopes of all that God had made in the beginning, and also that of his unborn descendants.

So by that death, man didn't go down alone, but also took with him all his unborn descendants and all that God had made in the beginning which God had put in man's charge.

That makes the loss of man's eternal life in the beginning not just the worst thing to happen to man or mankind, but all of God's creation.

But the best thing that ever happened to mankind, was God sending His only begotten Son (the Word of God) to the Earth to die in the place of man, so that any man who believes in Him (keeps the Word of God), shall no longer die but have eternal life.

That is the best thing that could ever happen to any man.

Genesis 5:31

The most painful part of this is how ugly and weakly we become towards the expiring period!

So through the disobedience of our first parents sin came and death through sin and it spread to all of us! Romans 5:12

God is not happy when people die most especially obedient humans, this we know when God's only begotten son burst into tears at the sight of mourners who came to console his friends {John 11:35}, even though Jesus had the power to bring his friend back to life he couldn't hold himself at the sight of people crying due to the death of a loved one!

Well God promised that death will be swallowed in time to come {Isaiah 25:8} no more will good people need to die because of the sin of our first parents {Psalms 37:29} by that time God will bless the earth with good things { Psalms 67:6} all wicked people will be exterminated {Psalms 37:7-11, Proverbs 2:20-22} and all God's friends who have died will be brought back to life here on earth! Job 14:14-15, John 5:28-29, Act 24:15

So because Jesus so much believe this he could confidently say God's friends aren't dead like the others who followed the rebellious path of Adam and Eve, Jesus said "they are sleeping". John 11:11-14

If you too want to know what God require of people to become one of his friends, you only need to welcome Jesus' servants sent to you, they will TEACH you all that God's son has commanded {Matthew 28:19-20}, God's holy spirit his working with them so you need not worry about their own time, all you need is to schedule a time with them and they'll make themselves available to teach you.

People around you may despise or vilify them but be rest assured that that's the same way they did to Jesus and his friends in the first century! Matthew 5:11-12, 10:22, John 17:14-16

They're globally known today as Jehovah's Witnesses and God has answered Jesus' heartfelt prayer through this group as they've form one big happy family of peace loving worshippers globally! John 17:20-23

At the scene of death, you see wailing, moaning and weeping. Disasters such as plaques, hurricane, air crash, loss of properties happen to Mankind but, never have we seen a gathering of people to condole or sympathize with the victims as in the case when death happens.
