There is confusion and division in the body of Christ, mostly among believers in Nigeria. In the old testament Israelite did a lot of sacrifice because Jesus has not come, in the new testament we made to understand that Jesus has sacrificed his life for us. That means we don't need to do sacrifice anymore, but some churches, believers are still do sacrifice today, some people consider it as ignorance, some consider it greed.
In the old testament when someone sin he would take ram or goat to the priest, then priest will take it to alter and sacrifice to appeal God.But in the new testament we made to understand that Jesus has taken our sins once and forever, that means we don't need to do sacrifice anymore.
In the oil testament only the priest has access to God, in the new testament, we made to understand that Jesus has broken the barrier every believer now has access to God. That means today we don't need to do sacrifice before God can answer our prayers. There are three churches in Nigeria that are still do sacrifice.
1. Living Faith Church . The living faith popular known as Winners Chapel, is one of the fastest growing churches in Nigeria founded by Bishop David Oyedepo, they do sacrifice every last Sunday of the month. people bring their cars, television, cloths, deep freezer, whatever anyone has he or she will bring it for sacrifice.
2. Sabbath Church . Sabbath church worship on Saturdays but they do a lot of sacrifices.
3. White Garment Church . White church worship on Sundays but they do a lot of sacrifices.
4. Church of Christ . Church of Christ worship of Sunday but still doing sacrifice.
