Let no one ever denigrate Perpetual Nkwocha for voting in line with her conscience. By the way, Nkwocha gave everything to Nigeria on the pitch. Wearing Nigeria jersey brought out the goal monster in her. She never felt as a star who must be adored when it comes to playing for Nigeria even when injured or in the twilight of her career.

Now, that no voter out of five from Nigeria backed Asisat Oshoala spoke volume. They simply told her the HOME TRUTH that apart her age-group exploits, she has done absolutely NOTHING to lift the Super Falcons on the field in recent tournaments. Winning AWC in Cameroon and South Africa has little to do with her exploits. Though she is young but she is too detached, focusing more on playing her role only than inspiring the team as clearly shown during the recent FIFA WWC. She is more of what Aubemeyang is to Gabon than what Sadio Mane is to Senegal. She displays raw passion when playing for her clubs and subdued passion when playing for Nigeria.

She should therefore see this development as a challenge to step up and give more to Nigeria.
